While our study abroad trips to Ghana, Ireland and Scotland are completed, we still have two programs underway in France. I mentioned the program in France in the last newsletter, but I’d like to provide an update. Our five students in Lyon have jointed another 25 students from other US universities (see picture). This new program is hosted by the Higher Education Institution on Agronomy, Food and the Environment. Thanks to Dmitry Vedenov for leading our students in this new endeavor. He tells me things are going well, with students receiving a broad overview of food and marketing systems in France. But, last week was HOT, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees, and NO air-conditioning in many buildings. So, the students are receiving a complete cultural experience along with a solid summer educational experience! Have a great weekend!
