HEALTH BENEFITS OF HEMP OIL

Hemp oil contains an ideal 1 to 3 ratio of omega-3 (alpha linolenic acid) to Omega-6 (linoleic acid) fatty acids.

Hemp oil contains vitamin E and vita-min A (carotene). These are antioxi-dants that help the immune system by fighting free radical damage.

Hemp oil is an all-natural source of energy, protein and Omegas and is safer than fish oil. Fish oil is processed with heat (unlike hemp which is cold-pressed). Fish oil may contain mercury and other contaminants, especially when sourced from farmed fish.

Hemp oil has the power to battle inflammation, assist with skin condi-tions and irritations, produce a shiny and healthy coat and benefit degenera-tive joint issues.

Skin and Coat: The high Omega-6 fatty acid concentra-tion will allow your dog’s skin to become permeable to water (this means that the oil can penetrate the inner layers of skin). This can help to prevent skin disorders such as eczema, dandruff and dry or inflamed skin). The oil also creates a soft, thick, shiny coat as the hairs themselves become healthier. Joints: The Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) in hemp oil has super anti-inflammatory properties. A great way to naturally

reduce joint pain, inflammation and help to combat the effects of arthritis. GLA is an Omega-6 fatty acid that promotes the production of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. This can greatly assist dogs with degen-erative joint conditions such as arthri-tis.

Protein: Increasing protein (especially in the performance dog) will support the growth of new and healthier fur, nails and muscle. Protein can also help to convert fat stores into energy. In excess amounts, protein itself can be a readily available energy source.

If your dog is eating a lot of chicken then it may be best to use flaxseed oil instead as both chicken and hemp are both high in polyunsaturated fats which may cause an imbalance in your dogs diet if using both.

If you cook your pets food, don’t add hemp oil until just before serving as it should not be heated at high tempera-tures.

Hemp oil is best stored in the fridge for longer shelf life.

Hemp is also great for horses!

“I came across this excellent product in January 2018 when my Arabian gelding suffered a horrific foot injury. He got his front foot caught in the fence and in his attempts to pull it free, he ripped away a part of his hoof! Understanda-bly the coronary band suffered consid-erable trauma. My farrier was amazed at the improvement in only 5 weeks and the fact that my boy’s foot contin-ued to grow. In March 2019 my Arabian mare who is completely blind on the right side appeared to suffer a fall from the missing skin on her face and ended up with a nasty, ragged wound on her under-belly. Using this product, within 4 weeks her wound was completely healed and there is barely a scar. My Arabian boy is in the “wars” again, this time with a foot infection which always travels up to the coronary band. He has not had a foot infection since prior to January 2018. I am using this product to treat the break in his coronary band. I am certain it will help. I could not rec-ommend this product highly enough for any wound.”
