I f you missed this rally, you missed a great one! Over 100 TCI Members and Guests joined together to celebrate TCI’s 20th year of fellowship and common interests. From the first TCI Rally in 1990 at Teton Valley Camp-

ground in Victor, Idaho to 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we have shared many good times.

Sharon Grooms and LaVerne Thomas organized 7 days of informative activi-ties, good food, and entertainment. Many participants took advantage of the weigh-in (our rigs, not us) and follow up by Tom Bowman of the National High-way Traffic Safety Administration.

We were provided with the option of having our coach, truck or toad detailed by Jason Burns and his team. RVT brought 3 technicians to service our coaches if required.

We enjoyed presentations from representatives from the Albuquerque Camp-ing World and 3 major RV manufacturers, Peterson’s Industries (Excel), DRV Luxury Suites and New Horizons RV Corp. We were treated to 3 RV models to tour—Excel, Mobile Suites Elite and New Horizons Majestic.

Thanks to all the representatives who shared so much with us.

Our “Teton Room” was a huge tent that was quite challenging when the New Mexico winds picked up, but as usual we all made the best of it and the beau-tiful sunny days made up for any fears we may have had of being blown away. In fact, the wind cooperated for an optional Balloon Ride for a group of mem-bers who got up at the crack of dawn on Wednesday to see Albuquerque from the air.

Tom Wilby once again took portraits of the members and guests (and an oc-casional pet), but the real treat was the souvenir book put together by Tudy Jacobson. Tudy spent over a year compiling information of our past 20 years to include in this special presentation. Thanks Tudy.

And finally, when all was said and done TCI Members came through raising more than $2000 in cash and food items for 3 worthy causes: Congenital Heart Defects (CHD)-Loma Linda University, CA., Animal Humane, New Mexico and Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico.

New President’s Message

P lanning for this wonderful event began in 2006. An “irrational member” suggested we accept a nomina-tion for TCI 3rd Vice President at the 17th annual rally held in Outdoor Resorts, Aguanga, CA (President, Peter Gilfedder). At the end of the meeting we realized we had made a commitment to attend the next

four TCI rallies, including a year as President. Thank you Jaquita Davis, this entire process was great fun and honestly we are sorry the rally has concluded. The first task was to identify a suitable site to host this milestone rally. Six potential rally locations were cho-sen in four states (DC, MO, AR, and NM). Anticipating 100 rigs and over 200 members and guests eliminated Arkansas and Missouri. Washington DC became our primary focus (2009 would be an election year), until the rates came in (exceeding our budget) while we were attending the 2007 rally in Renfro Valley, KY (Kathy Dickinson, President). The decision was made. A presentation was made at the Member’s Business meeting and we began contract negotiations! Celebrating our 20th Anniversary rally in conjunction with the Balloon Fiesta would allow us to learn about an area we had not visited previously, except in passing. In Renfro, the member’s show of interest and rally survey information exceeded our expectations, we started planning. Our agenda started with a balloon ride, progressive dinner, anniversary party, members’ BBQ, sharing information, games, free time and fun. By the time our list was complete we realized we had not given members time to “see and do” some things on their own. It was going to be a very busy rally. Two years later our first guests begin arriving (the earliest a week before opening day). More than two-thirds of our guests arrived before the rally, many of whom have been working with LaVerne to prepare for a very special event scheduled to com-plete before the Opening meeting. Planning and preparation for a weigh-in in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (Office of Defects) took special planning and patience by all participants. Rally arrivals began 9/17 with most members receiving a Welcome Letter, Rally Agenda, and listing of attendees with site numbers and contact information. Registration began at noon on 9/24. Around 3:30PM, President Rick McHugh’s proxy, Peter Gilfedder, opened the 20th Anniversary TCI Rally. The celebration began with a welcome message from the Mayor of the City of Albuquerque presented by the Director of the Department of Recreation/Parks. The director’s presentation was followed with the “Road Runner” dinner highlighting fourteen delightfully hand painted birdhouse centerpieces provided by Doris Mills (by rally’s end thirteen centerpieces had been sold); introduction of the planned charities; and introduction of eleven first time participants to a TCI rally. On Friday 9/25, the making of beaded handcrafted bookmarks under the guidance of Doris Mills and Sharon Ess high-lighted the morning, while the TCI Officers and Chairs examined the Executive Board meeting agenda and discussed the busi-ness at hand. The air came alive as members climbed in pullers and cars and headed to the Shepherd’s rancho to celebrate the Twentieth Anniversary of TCI in their wonderfully landscaped yard overlooking the valley known as the City of Albuquerque. The rest of the story is available in other sections of the Newsletter and will be sent through webmail “blasts” during the coming months. We would like to close our ‘rally rant’ with a “great big THANK YOU”. Outgoing President’s Farewell

D ue to the arrival of our first grandchild (a girl) in LI and the marriage of our daughter in Saratoga we didn’t attend any Teton rallies, but hope to next year.

This was written before the International Rally per Tom’s request, but I assume that everyone had a great time at Albuquerque.

This has been a good year for the club despite the absence of the Teton factory. Our membership is higher than it has been in a number of years, and the health of the club is good. I hope that we now have all of the

president positions filled.

If a self help group wasn’t set up at the International Rally, I’m am still interested and will assist anyone with this. There are quite a few people in the club that have the knowledge and tools to do almost anything.

I want to thank everyone for all their help through out this year. A special thanks to our past editor George for his many years (I think 10 or more) of service.

Hope to see you next year either at a rally or in FL after January.

20th Anniversary Yearbook

T he planning for the TCI Club 20th annual rally started well years ago. About this time last year Rally Master, Sharon Grooms, asked Tudy Jackobson, knowing Tudy had some graphics experience, to put together a special yearbook to celebrate 20 years of

existence. Since then Tudy and her husband Jake have been hard at work designing, collect-ing photos and history to compile a special Anniversary Addition Yearbook. The yearbook turned out excellent. Everyone really enjoyed browsing it’s many colorful pages. Thank you Jake & Tudy for all your hard work!

C an you imagine holding a dinner party for over one hundred people at your home? Well that is just what Jim and Jonell Shepherd did. Jim, Jonell and daughter Marty hosted the TCI 20th Anniversary Dinner at their beautiful home

overlooking Albuquerque and the Sandia Mountains. The event was a wonderful kick-off event for our rally. We all very much enjoyed dinner, the games and the Shepherd’s gracious hospitality. Thank you Jim, Jonell and Marty for your hard work and for shar-ing your home with us!

A bout a year ago, Rally Master, Sharon Grooms asked Jaquita Davis to handmake a unique quilt to auction at the planned Charity Auction at the Albuquerque rally. Jacquita made a beautiful quilt depicting the US and southern Canada with all 20 rallies located

on the quilt. Well, Sharon loved it and decided she would out bid everyone no matter the price. But, the club decided to out bid her while she was busy. When Sharon saw that she was out bid and the quilt was gone, she was very disappointed. Not to let her “stew” too long, Jacquita pre-sented the quilt to her in appreciation for all her hard work during the past year planning for a very successful 20th TCI Rally. Thank you Sharon for a great enjoyable 20th rally!

M e CRAFTY? I can't do anything CRAFTY. This is what we heard on Friday morning of the TCI rally in NM. But boy did we have fun!!! Beads everywhere, and all those ladies that had never done crafts were so talented. They made the most beautiful bookmarks you would

ever see. All different and some of our not CRAFTY ladies even went to Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and Joann's to find beads to make more CRAFTY things. Thanks to Sherry Bloomer, Susan Elliott, and Guadalupe Griffin, for helping Doris Mills and me, Sharon Ess, with all the talented CRAFTY peoples beaded bookmarks. Sherry Bloomer has already started helping Doris and me with next year’s project. Maybe if we practice all year, we will be ready to help her with the beautiful project. Get ready to have

Bylaws Committee 2009-2010

“Could this be fun?”

T his message is to introduce you to a 'different' type of Bylaw committee. We have four members who represent their regions with participation on the 2009-2010 TCI Committee. The committee is charged with starting with a blank page (no restriction except the name of the club and mailing ad-

dress). As soon as the fifth member is chosen, we hope each member will find time to 'get started'. The three Vice Presidents and I look forward to helping the members in any way we can.

To begin, I have asked that each member of the committee take a look at existing Bylaws and ask "why 5 times" on each item. When they complete this exercise, they will have a thorough picture of how the last twenty years of 'rules' came to be. If you just take a few minutes to go through the three pages of the 'pre-2010 Bylaws' you may be surprised (or not).

The goal should be to develop a set of guidelines for a fraternal non-profit non-affiliated club, a “family of friends” that like to have fun together. As the members go through the evaluation process they are asked to look to the future and remember what is past is past. We can only plan for the future, and that does not include the availability of 'another Teton Home's coach'. (Even if another coach is built with the name 'Teton' in it does not mean "we, current owners" would be wel-comed under the wing of the manufacturer. But if so, that might be a good thing.)

The members of TCI want to extend a very "loud" thank you for each of our dedicated members and their energy in review of the Bylaws for the 2008-2009 year. We all appreciated the effort and results submitted to the General Members during the 9/30/09 Business Meeting in Albuquerque, NM. The presentation was made by Chairman Ed Ingram #1170 with a visual display and verbal description of the committee ( Don Peachy #476 and Jerry Yoesting #1376) recommended changes. Ed weathered the questions and comments with dignity and patience. The results of the discussions are noted on page 15 of this newsletter in “Business Meeting Highlights”.

A Funny Thing Happened To Me At The Rally

O ne evening while at the TCI rally in Albuquerque, NM a funny thing happened to Linda Fearon and myself. After a wonderful dinner, several of us lady Tetoners were approached by Kay Hooper who wanted to know if we would like to play a card game known as “nickel, nickel”. So, eight of us chose

to join in on this fun game. Half way into the evening Linda decided that she needed to use the restroom after drinking a large cup of iced tea and I decided that I needed to go along. Now the first thing you must know is that we were playing cards in the tent where all of our functions were being held and there was no bathroom, so off we went to the clubhouse to use the restroom facilities. We rushed over while the cards were being shuffled so that we could get back in a hurry.

Kid you not, we weren’t in there two minutes and when we got ready to exit, the doors were locked! Someone, whom I will not name but is the secretary/treasurer of the club, came along and not knowing that we were in there, locked us in. It was rather dark in there so we searched for some more light switches. Once we had light, we saw a car approaching the front of the build-ing so we started jumping up and down, waving our arms, but they paid no attention and drove right passed us. We looked for a phone as both of us had left our cell phones on the table where we were playing cards. No phone, not much light and both of us running around inside like two crazy women, Linda told me not to panic. We figured that if we were gone long enough that someone would come looking for us, but guess what, they just sat there waiting. Finally I said to Linda, lets take a screen off one of the windows and crawl out, so that’s what we ended up doing. Laughing so hard at what had just happened, when we finally got back to the tent, everyone ask us “what took you so long”? Moral of the story, always take your cell phones with you.

About an hour later, Manette Manz needed to use the ladies room so Linda escorted her to the window in which we had crawled out. Manette was very grateful for that open window as it kept her from finding a bush to hide behind.

The next day, Carole was given the famous rubber chicken for locking Linda & me in the clubhouse.

2010 Kerrville TCI Rally Update

H owdy folks, we just wrapped up the 2009 Teton International Rally in Albuquerque, NM and we had a great time. We want to thank Sharon and Laverne for all of their hard work and time that they put forth so that each of us would have an enjoyable time.

With that said, now it’s time that we all focus on 2010 as it’s fast approaching. This past year, Sherry & I have been working on the TCI rally to be held at the Guadalupe River RV Resort Oct. 5th – 12th in Kerrville, Texas. At this time, we have several activities planned that we’re sure everyone will thoroughly enjoy. We will be busing to Enchanted Springs Ranch, which is a real working ranch, but it is also set up with an old western town for which they use to film movies and commercials including the Ford truck commercial with George Straight.

Upon arrival, we’ll be greeted by “Woodrow” the longhorn. We’ll all be able to participate in a six gun competition and for those who wish to take a tractor wagon ride, you’ll get to see a large portion of the ranch along with many different animal species. Just remember to behave yourselves or you might get thrown in jail by the Texas Wild Bunch. We’ll have a tradi-tional Texas BBQ and then we’ll be entertained by a country band and a show by Pistol Packin’ Paula. Later on in the week we’ll bus to Fredericksburg, which is a quaint little German town where you may visit the many shops and then attend the variety show at the Rockbox Theater which we have planned for you. It is by far one of the best shows you’ll ever see. Also planned is an ice cream social, crafts and many seminars. There is also some free time so that everyone can venture out and see something new. For those of you with motorcycles, the Texas hill country is some of the best riding ever! Mark your calendars, get out your boots, dust off those hats and lets get ready to kick up our hills and have a great time. Hope to see y’all there!

Up Up And Awayyyyy

The Albuquerque winds come and go quickly, so Tetoners lucked out with great weather for an early morning balloon ride. We were bused to a field where pilots and crews were set-ting up. Divided by about 8-12 people per gondola we ascended through clear skies to about 400 to 500 feet. Any apprehension was soon quelled as we all en-joyed flawless flights lasting about an hour. Compli-ments and praise was the chatter heard at the cham-pagne reception following the ride as everyone agreed they had made the right decision to take a balloon adventure.

Rally Highlights As Viewed By A “Newbie”

A ttending a Teton Rally for the first time is a little like moving to a new city. In both cases there is anticipation and some apprehension as one faces many unknown people, in an unfamiliar setting with expectations of… Inclusion and fun.

Laurence and I found people eager to welcome us and include us in their "family". Listen-ing to new friends sharing past adventures at previous rallies , and participating in the fun surrounding Albuquerque and the Balloon Festival convinced us that we have joined a wonderful group.

It is never easy to be the new kid on the block in any situation, but as we reflect on our new friendships, the sharing of ideas for all our rigs and on our expanded waistbands, we

know this won't be our last Teton Rally. TCI is a very interesting group of people from many areas of North America, from var-ied walks of life but all with a desire to share the open road and have fun. Enjoy your travels, be safe and until next time, Thanks for the Memories.

W e had time a great time at the "New Mexico" dinner last night. It looked to be a full house with more than 120 in attendance. After a delicious dinner of pork roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, and various New Mexico side dishes, the evening's en-

tertainment began. Syd Masters and his Side Kicks began to work their charm. The "Cowboy" music was great. They kept everyone laughing, and singing along. It was truly an unforgettable evening!

T he time at our first Teton rally was com-ing to an end and what a wonderful

time it was! Peter Greig, #789, offered a blessing before another excellent meal was served.

The first day of the rally we had been informed that we were supporting three charities, a local animal humane society, a local food bank, and Loma Linda Hospital for the pediatric congenital heart defects depart-ment. The two local charities sent speakers to thank us for our support. Along with individual donations and proceeds from both the Silent Auc-tion and the Chinese Auction over $2000.00 was raised plus the barrel of food for the food bank.

Peter Gillfedder, #64, passed the gavel (actually it was the rubber chicken) to our new president, Sharon Grooms, #1213. National and Regional officers were acknowledged and new chairpersons were an-nounced. Eleven attending new TCI members were introduced and Carl and Juanita Vincent, #617, led us in singing the Teton song.

We do hope everyone attending had as much fun as we did. We really are a Family of Friends and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next rally or down the road, whichever happens first.

Annual TCI Charity Fundraiser

I n the 1300's, Ancestral Pueblo people settled in the what today is known as the Rio Grande River and the Albuquerque region. In the 1500's, European explorers arrived in the region seeking gold. By the late 1600's, Spanish missionaries settled in the area. The westward migration of the 1800's

brought Americans to the area along the Santa Fe trail and later the railroad and much later Route 66. And in 2009, members of the Teton Club International arrived in Albuquerque for the 20th Anniversary TCI Rally.

The Tetoners met old friends and made new ones, enjoyed Albuquerque as a vibrant crossroads of history, commerce, and culture, and many stayed after the rally to enjoy the splendor of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. But through it all, the Tetoners opened their hearts and wallets for three philanthropic endeavors selected for the 2009 rally. Charitable funds were raised in various ways including donations to the Chinese and Silent Auctions.

The first charitable recipient was Loma Linda University Medical Center located in Southern California for their work to correct and treat Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Congenital (which means at birth) Heart Disease refers to a problem with the heart's structure and function due to abnormal heart development before birth. These heart defects affect millions of newborn infants and children throughout the world. It is a killer that claims thousands or lives every year. In the U.S., CHD is responsible for more deaths in the first year of life than any other birth de-fect. In many countries, patients with CHD live and die untreated. Most of the budget allocations of large or-ganizations are diverted to adult heart disease re-search while funding for research into CHD is scarce. Dedicated centers for treating CHD are few and far between. Tetoners can be proud that over $2,000 was donated during the rally for the important work of Loma Linda University Medical Center for their work treating CHD.

Not to forget the furry friends which travel with many of us, the second charitable recipient was Animal Humane New Mexico. Animal Humane NM has been around for over 40 years, has 60 employees (including two full time veterinarians) and over 200 volunteers, and is the only not-for-profit clinic providing the most extensive range of animal services in New Mexico. Their services include sheltering, adoptions (4,348 pets found new homes in 2008), spay/neutering (7,984 performed in 2008), vet clinic for qualifying families in need, free micro-chipping, behavior helpline, and many other services. $250 went to this worthy cause.

The final charitable recipient was Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico which has been serving New Mexico's hungry since 1980. New Mexico is considered the hungriest state in the nation with one out of six New Mexicans at risk of going hungry everyday. Another one in 17 people go hungry on a regular basis for several days at a time. Roadrunner Food Bank serves 24,000 New Mexicans in 10 counties providing more than 16 million meals yearly including a "backpack program" in 36 schools for kids who have nothing to eat on weekends. In addition to the other charities, Tetoners donated over 1,000 lbs. of food to Roadrunner Food Bank.

So while Tetoners were looking up at the hot-air balloons at the Balloon Fiesta, things were also looking up for the charities they supported during the rally. And while following the advice of Nat King Cole, Chuck Berry, the Rolling Stones, John Mayer and many other recording artists to "get your kicks on Route 66," Tetoners' generosity will be felt far and wide.

I don’t know about the rest of the gang, but we had no idea where we were going for this event. We were given directions and asked to car-pool, so we did. When we got there, we still had no

idea whose house this was or why they were having us over. But what the heck… it was a beautiful place and plenty of parking, we could all have driven our big trucks… oh well.

We all got our tour of the home and what a tour! We should have brought our bathing suits. Then there was the fabulous kitchen, heck I might even enjoy cooking after a few lessons.

Then it was on to games. I had never played “cowboy golf”, but it seemed easy enough, so I gave it a shot. Not sure, but I think we won a game! We even had a few people playing bocci ball.

Once the food arrived, everyone had plenty to eat. We even had a special 80th birthday cake for Norm and a 20th anniversary TCI cake. What a treat!! Carrot Cake, my favorite.

I think I speak for everyone in wanting to thank our hosts, Jim & Jonell Shep-herd, for their hospitality and sharing their beautiful home with us. We really enjoyed having them as neighbors at the park. Three cheers for Jim, Jonell and Marty!! Hope to see you all soon!!

Regional Progressive Dinner

O n Monday we came together for the Progressive Dinner, meal preparation having been divided between the four regions. The Southwest provided appetizers; Northeast and Southeast com-bined to furnish the entrée and Northwest dished up the desserts. It mattered not your taste preference, they had you covered.

If you tend to look south of the border for your culinary selections, choose from: Mexican Meatballs, Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Poppers Wrapped in Bacon, Tortilla Pinwheels, Caramelized Carnitas, Mini Tacos with Dip, or choose Mexican Dip and Chips. If you prefer things from the sea; we had Salmon

rolls, Stuffed Salmon, and Crab Dip. More likely to graze on things from around the farm? Gotcha covered: Cranberry Meat-balls, Chicken Wings, Black forest ham with Pickled Asparagus, and Smokies (BBQ’ed and in Chili,) Deviled Eggs, Sausage-Rotel Dip and Texas Caviar. Yes, that was quite a meal!

Oh! that was only the appetizers. Our attention was now directed to two tables set up outside and burdened with Eastern Style Pot Roast and Onions, Carrots, and Red Roasted Potatoes. Chef Carole Gilfedder and her able cooks had toiled all afternoon as delightful fragrances drifted outside. Yep, those Teton folks can cook… but let me tell you, they can eat, too! The line was steady for seconds and for… gosh, no one is counting.

Back inside, all eyes were now focused on the calorie laden tables holding the desserts. A six star restaurant does not offer such variety (or quality); Cherry Cream Cheese Brownies, Black Forest Cake, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Red’s Famous Cookies. We had Washington AND Oregon Apple Crisp, Washington Cherry Cake and, British Columbia Nanaimo Bars. Truly, an International Dinner for our International Rally.

Weigh-In Is A Great Success

A pre-rally highlight drew more than half of the partici-

pants at the 20th TCI Anni-versary Rally in Albuquer-que, N.M. recently. For three days, alternating teams of TCI members placed six wheel scales and recorded individual

truck and trailer weights in an effort to promote and insure safe travel. Units were weighed by wheel and rating comparisons were derived using owner’s earlier compiled pre-inspection data for maximum wheel/tire, axle and pin weight together with trailer and truck GVWR and GCWR. On hand to assist with these endeavors was Tom Bowman, Office of Defects Investigation for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Mr. Bowman was also available on Saturday at which time he presented a seminar dealing with road safety and our rigs. He also fielded questions from the audience in an open forum regarding their specific rigs in relation to weigh-in/rating compari-sons. Other members also brought to light problems of a cracked aluminum wheel, broken studs and chafing of hydraulic brake lines. The event was received by our members with such enthusiasm that it was carried over to the afternoon for an additional three hours.

Some Other Brand Manufacturers

A new era of Teton rallies has begun. For the first time manufacturers of other higher end coaches were invited to tell us about their products. It’s hard to imagine buying a brand other than Teton but, with time, many of us will need to replace our present “homes.” Hearing and

seeing other options was interesting. All three companies have good looking, well designed coaches with many desirable options making them worth checking out when the time comes.

Three manufacturers made presentations and brought coaches to the rally. Coaches from all three companies are fully customizable. After each representative spoke about their companies and the quality of their products they opened their units for us to visit.

Dan Tauer from DRV was our first speaker. The company, located in Howe, Indiana, manufactures three levels of coaches: Select Suites, Mobile Suites and Elite Suites. There are two-hour factory tours Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 10 am. We were all interested to hear that Teton’s Tom Hyde is now with DRV, running their West Coast Division.

Dan brought a 43’ Elite Suite with a 6-point automatic hydraulic leveling system. This all-season aluminum framed unit had 3 1/2” R16 walls, R25 ceilings and R29 basement, automotive painted exterior graphics with 3 coats of clear-coat, and a fiberglass radius wrapped roof.

Next Phil Brokeniky, of New Horizons talked about his 5 star rated coaches. New Horizons is located on 15 acres next to I-70 in Junc-tion City, Kansas. Their facility has four 40’ service bays and they’re happy to work on our Tetons. Kevin McCormick, from Teton and now working for New Horizons helped add Teton features to their newest models. The Majestic is 102” wide, is insulated for tempera-tures from 0° to 100°, 3,000 lbs cargo capacity, has painted exte-rior, Mor-Ryde IS, automatic Quadra Big Foot leveling, aluminum tubing sidewalls, and all real wood interior woodwork.

Phil got us all involved by giving prizes for the members who had the “most”: Orris Mosby won for having 10 coaches, Dave and Lorna Brammell for 54 years of marriage and Tom and Gayle Gurksnis for RVing the longest time – 41 years!

Last to speak was Bryan Tillet of Peterson Industries which has been in business in Smith Center, Kansas for 45 years. They’re happy to service Tetons. Peterson’s Excel RVs have wood construc-tion with 2x4” rafters and studs on 16” centers. Floors are attached to the mainframe, carpets have 8 lb pads. The Limited is available with a fully walkable fiberglass roof, is insulated to –10° and has axles moved to the optimum position to allow 20% of weight on the pin. They have Dexter disk brakes and J rated tires.

Business Meeting Highlights

The annual business meeting was held at Albuquerque on September 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.

Acting President, Peter Gilfedder, determined a quorum was present.

Oris Mosby, Chair of the Audit Committee, announced that the club’s books were audited and found to be in excellent order. The treasurer’s report was accepted.

Nominating committee nominated Peter Greig #789 for 4th VP. Passed.

Newsletter editor, Tom Wilby updated membership on newsletter status.

Ed Ingram, By-Laws Committee Chairman, presented proposed by-law changes. The following where passed:

Articles of the TCI III b.

b. The TCI will work with the Manufacturer Dealers of Teton recreational vehicles, and related vendors, to further the purposes of the organization and its members.

Article I New # 7.

Anyone residing in a member vehicle that is current on the payment of dues shall have the right to vote at the Interna-tional Business Meeting if they share ownership of that vehicle. Ownership of a Teton product and the timely pay-ment of dues shall be the only prerequisite for voting at the International Business Meeting.

Article I #3

The 1st Vice President’s duties shall include selecting the upcoming International rally site, make the necessary ar-rangements for the rally, to act in the absence of the Presi-dent and his Proxy, and to act for the benefit of the club at all times.

Article VIII

OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES Add at the end Travel ex-penses shall not be reimbursed.

STANDING RULES are governing directives providing clear and concise guidance on administrative and general proce-dures and behaviors. Standing Rules are flexible guide-lines defined in support of the Club’s Constitution and By-laws. The Standing Rules are managed and administered by the Full Board.

1. If the International Club cancels a rally for any reason, all of the registration fees will be refunded in full. that have not been committed will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

I t’s official, George Hooper, after twelve great years as TCI Newsletter Editor, has retired. The torch has been passed and I now enter new, uncharted territory. In keeping with tradition I will endeavor to continue publishing one of the best RV club newsletters I’ve seen or heard of. The fact that I cannot

spell or compose should not worry anyone; I’m depending on our Teton “Family of Friends” to submit articles throughout the year to help me out.
