We believe that you will immediately see and feel the benefits that come with this new innovative product. At Salisbury by Honeywell, our foremost concern is your safety so we have included this sheet as a guide to ensure you are protected while you are working. INSIDE THE BOX: • Upon opening the box, you will find your Lift Front Hood packaged in a protective ASBAG and a poly bag. The ASBAG should be kept and used to carry and store your Lift Front Hood when not in use. This will prevent unnecessary scratches to the face shield. INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO USE ON THE JOB: • Remove and discard the protective film from the face shield. This film was installed to protect the face shield from scratches during the assembly and shipping process and, if left on the shield, it could compromise user safety when wearing the Lift Front Hood. • We recommend that you do a brief inspection of the unit to ensure that the Velcro is attached at all contact points and that, when held at eye level, there are no visible gaps that could expose the user to an arc flash. The following photos below illustrate how the product should look prior to each use. Please note that there is no Velcro over the inside of the locking mechanism. This does not impact the performance of the hood and, rest assured, this design was tested to meet the current ASTM F2178 and NFPA 70E standards and the flammability requirements for ASTM F1506. This brief inspection should be performed prior to each use.

removal of the fabrIc shroud for launderIng or replacement:• ThefabricshroudisattachedtotheLiftFrontHoodassemblythroughtheuseofVelcro.Removaloftheshroudrequiresseparatingthe
VelcroandgentlypullingtheshroudawayfromtheLiftFrontHoodassembly.Pleasedonotpullontheshroudinaforcefulmannerto
remove it.
• Forlaunderingofthefabricshroud,pleasefollowthegarmentcareintheInstructions For Use booklet included with your product.
• Ifyouarereplacingyourfabricshroudduetodamage,onlyuseareplacementshroudsuppliedbySalisburybyHoneywell.Noother
material should be used as a replacement for this protective garment.
• Oncethefabricshroudhasbeenlaunderedorreplaced,attachtheVelcroatallcontactpointsandperforminspectiondetailedonthe
previous page prior to each use.
raIsIng and lowerIng your face shIeld:• The Lift Front Hood’s face shield should only be raised when the user is out of the arc flash hazard boundary as defined in
NFPA 70E.
• Toraisetheshield,pinchandreleasethelockmechanismandraisetheshieldoveryourhead.Ifyourshielddoesnotstayinastowed
position over your head, remove the hood and adjust the tension wheels on the left and right side of the hard hat.
• Tolowertheshield,pulltheshielddownandlistenforanaudibleclicktoensurethelockmechanismissecure.Iftheuserisperforming
workinconditionswithexcessivenoise,theshieldcanbegentlypulledwithoutpinchingthelockmechanismtoensureitissecurelyin
the locked position.
