In Commemoration of the former Secretary and Correspondent of Jamal Mohamed College, late

Haji. Janab. M.J.M Abdul Gafoor Sahib, the College Management Organised a Special Souvenir

release function on 21.06.2018 – Thursday, in the presence of Janab. M.J. Jamal Mohamed Bilal, the

President and Dr. K. Abdus Samad, Assistant Secretary of the College management Committee. The

Principal Dr. S. Ismail Mohideen welcomed the gathering. The former Principal of Jamal Mohamed

College, Professor N. Abdul Samadh graced the occasion and released the souvenir. The present

Secretary and Correspondent Dr. A.K. Khaja Nazeemudeen received the first copy of the souvenir

and offered his felicitation. The Treasurer of the College Management Committee Haji Janab M.J.

Jamal Mohamed highlighted on the historical significance of the College and the need for such

functions in remembering the good deeds of the forefathers. He also elaborated on the philanthropic

gestures of the founders and ancestors. He pointed out on the glorious mission and vision of the

College in the field of higher education, social welfare and community services. He also shared very

rare and valuable information and anecdotes of the College and its founders. Dr. P.M. Mansure, the

former Vice Principal of the College, Dr. M.M Shahul Hameed, the former Vice Principal and Dr. A.M.

Mohamed Sindhasha, the former Principal of the College, offered their felicitations and recollected the

in fond memories of Haji. M.J.M. Abdul Gafoor Sahib and his humane gestures. The entire function

was seen as a remembrance of the 66 years of yeomen service rendered by Haji. M.J.M. Gafoor

Sahib . Dr. A. Mohamed Ibraheem, the Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks and the function

came to an end with the recital of Dua by the Additional Vice Principal Dr. M. Mohamed Sihabudeen.

Founders Day function was held in Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirappalli, on

11th July,2018 Wednesday, presided by Dr. S. Ismail Mohideen, Principal of the

college. Janab. Basheer Ahamed, Founder President and Managing Director of

Indian Abacus Pvt. Ltd and Janab.Jiyavudeen A.M.Z. Irfegrfed Farming system

were the chief guests Dr. A.K. Khaja Nazeemudeen, Secretary and Correspondent,

Hajee M.J. Jamal Mohamed ,Treasurer, Dr. K. Abdus Samad offered the

facilitation. Eminent professor and former Head of the Department of the Tamil,

Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore. Dr. Sirpi Balasubramanian delivered the

inaugural address and released the first copy of the Founders Day Souvenir. Prof

was received by Dr. A.K. Khaja Nazeemudeen, Secretary and Correspondent.

Next, Prof. Dr. K. Baskaran, Vice Chancellor of Tamil University, Tanjore released

the book of Islamic Cultural Research Centre and delivered a thematic address.

The first copy of the book was received by Hajee .M.J. Jamal Mohamed, Treasurer

of the college.

As a closing event of morning session, Dr. T .M. Abdul Kathar, Former Head

of the Department of Tamil, Islamia college, Vaniyambadi Presided over the poets’

Meet (Kaviyarangam) called “Samamaana Kodaikku Jamal Endru Peyar”

Afternoon programme was started in the presence of Hajee .T.M. Jabarullah,

Founder, Anjuman Arivagam, Ayyampettai. Prof. K.M. Kadher Mohideen, National

President IMUL, released the postal stamp of the Founders and it was received by

Mr. S. Peter Alphonse, former MP and MLA. The Chief Guests shared their

memories of the institution, historical information, Scholars and their academic &

Social services. The personalities who succeeded in the field of Cinema,

Television, Radio & Media, IAS and IPS officers were remembered by the guests.

Additional Vice Principal delivered the vote of thanks in the morning and evening

68th Sports’ Day function was held in Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirappalli – 620

020 on 01.08.2018, Wednesday, presided by Dr. S Ismail Mohideen, Principal of the

college in the presence of Dr. A.K. Khaja Nazeemudeen, Secretary and Correspondent,

Hajee . M.J. Jamal Mohamed Bilal, President, Hajee . M.J. Jamal Mohamed, Treasurer,

Dr. K. Abdus Samad, Assistant Secretary, Janab. Z. Mohamed Amjath, Branch

Manager, State Bank of India, Egmore, Chennai and Former Inter-national Football

Player inaugurated the function and offered the Sports Day address. He watched over

the parade and received the honour offered by the students of our college NCC, NSS

and other clubs. Running Race, Lucky Corner, Shot put, Long Jump and other Sports

events for both teaching and non-teaching staff were conducted. The Chief Guest

distributed the prizes and certificates to the winners. More than 1000 students

participated in the function.

M.Sirajudeen, Trade Development Manager, Alpha Cargo service company, Saudi Arabia,

inaugurated the function and offered the Sports Day Address. He watched over the parade and
