5-STAR PRE-COMMUNICATION

Guests will have already encountered the event's message during the pre-communication phase: • High-class printed invitations possibly

delivered by a personal messenger or concierge

• 24-hour-standby phone/web-based concierge service before the event for questions and special wishes concerning the event

• Accommodation for non-locals in a 5-star luxury hotel in Hamburg

• Personal airport and hotel transfers by VIP limousine service

The invitation box in 5-star printing quality with embossed lettering. Special feature: three-dimensional pictures in a brochure and a lorgnette to reveal the 3d effect... inviting in a new dimension.

OPENING THE GATES TO A NEW DIMENSION

The story continues when the guests enter the delivery centre. Like in a 5-star hotel, they are welcomed by smart doormen. Possibly in partnership with 'The Leading Hotels of the World'. The doormen will play a key role in the further staging of the event – symbolising the opening of doors to a new dimension in 5-star air travel.

A WARM WELCOME

After entering the building, the guests are escorted to the check-in by specially trained hostesses to receive their name badges. Hot o-shibori (towels) are offered to the guests in the ceremony hall's foyer. The reception will take place in the lower rear area of the hall. Together with the welcome drink, other amenities typical of Qatar Airways await the guests.


THE PLENARY – EMBRACING THE AUDIENCE

After enjoying high-class welcome hospitality and networking, the guests enter the ceremony hall. Its composition – a room in the room – contributes to the concept of centring on the guest. A projectable string curtain that concentrates towards the front, finally ending up in a stage backdrop, embraces the audience. The surrounding media projection and permeable screen open up new dimensions of spaciousness and provide an all-around experience.

A NEW DIMENSION IN AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURING

Airbus makes it (fly)! The show starts with a short welcome trailer that leads into the first film…The camera glides over the Airbus plant at Finkenwerder until it reaches the front of a workshop. A doorman opens the gate to the A380 cabin furnishing hall. Inside, the camera meets aircraft mechanics at work, who give their expert appraisal of the dimensions of the A380 and reason why it is the aircraft that makes any airline own the sky.

TRUST IN HIGH-CLASS EXPERTISE

The mechanics vouch for the quality and high-feature-accuracy that Airbus is committed to. As a special effect, the mechanics virtually step out of the screen, through the string curtain, and into the actual space of the audience. They are personally committed to the high manufacturing standards of Airbus.

SPEECH BY FABRICE BRÉGIER This forms a perfect bridge for the president and CEO of Airbus, Fabrice Brégier, to take to the floor and underpin the new dimensions in size, technical features, and efficiency of the A380. He emphasises why the A380 makes an airline own the sky.

Fabrice Brégier hands over to the representative of Engine Alliance, who also highlights the new era of aircraft manufacturing that the A380 has initiated.

5-STAR AIR TRAVEL

After all the technological superlatives, we focus on Qatar Airways' quality and hospitality standards. Tracking shots over the rooftops of Doha leading to the headquarters of Qatar Airways. A doorman invites us to go inside and discover Qatar Airways' philosophy – statements by the chief cabin service instructors, head chef, as well as others accompanied by pictures of the cabin crew at work.


FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE OF QATAR AIRWAYS' HIGH-CLASS SERVICE

The special effect used is similar to the one that accompanied the first film. Flight attendants leave the screen to step into reality. They enter the room through the string curtain, and serve small snacks and amenities to the guests.

SPEECH BY AKBAR AL BAKER

Qatar Airways' CEO, Akbar Al Baker, may use this moment as a suitable bridge to take to the stage and start his speech. Proud of the high level of quality awareness at QA, which converges with that of Airbus – as a 5-star airline he can emphasise Qatar Airways' ambition to exceed all expectations – whether in relation to economy, business or first class. Akbar Al Baker is also able to refer to the different destinations the airline plans to service with the A380 in the near future.

HANDOVER OF GIFTS & SIGNING CEREMONY

Akbar Al Baker is joined by Fabrice Brégier and Dean Athens on the stage. In a solemn act guests and hosts exchange their gifts and trophies. In parallel the especially designed table is arranged on the stage for signing the delivery document.

5 STARS IN A NEW DIMENSION – SUPERLATIVES CONVERGE

This is taken up by the third film on the screen, which leads to the unveiling of the aircraft. Again it is the doormen who lead the way. They open the doors to the 5-star hotels located at the destinations of Qatar Airways. The pictures merge seamlessly with aesthetic shots of the interior and exterior of the A380. Technical facts about the A380's unequalled features are blended in, and the film becomes increasingly dynamic. Yes, with the A380 crowning the fleet of Qatar Airways, two superlatives converge...

UNVEILING THE AIRCRAFT

… taking 5-star air travel into a new dimension: top hospitality merges with cutting edge technology and quality in aircraft construction … At the moment this fusion takes place, the curtain and projection screen will dissolve in the emotional energy of the pictures to reveal the view onto the aircraft behind the window. The screens and curtains are equipped with a kabuki system and drop in an instant, making the unveiling of Qatar's new A380 the impressive, effectively staged climax of the session.

At the doors to the apron, hotel doormen now lead the way for guests to take a closer look at the Qatar Airways' A380 and guided tour of the cabin.

Annette Yashpon knows it’s about putting herself in her client’s shoes and, as the Master of Ceremonies, pianist or singer. Her skills range from presenting complex technical subjects to events devoted purely to entertainment. She also has TV experience both as a presenter and as an interviewer. She performs in German, French or in her mother tongue, English.


ALEX TAYLOR

Alex Taylor defines himself as a “European journalist”. He has also hosted over 700 events, ranging from corporate and institutional conventions and conferences, to gala events and prize giving ceremonies. Alex is well known at Airbus, as he hosted several events as the Master of Ceremony.


DARREN M. HAYNES

Darren M. Haynes is a motivational speaker, Sports Anchor/Reporter & Public Speaker that helps individuals increase confidence and use personal power to activate their ideal life. Darren is a presenter at the Doha based TV channel Al Jazeera.
