Recent additions have included “Yeah Right,” “Puppy Love,”and “Call Home.”Started by a group of feminists, “Quirkyalone Day” is celebrated onFebruary 14 as an alternative to Valentine’s Day. It is geared towardpeople who “resist the tyranny of coupledom.” Another alternateValentine’s Day celebration is SAD (Single Awareness Day), which re-minds people that they don’t need to be in a relationship to celebratelife Famous people born on Valentine’s Day include John Barrymore(1882), Jimmy Hoffa (1913), Jack Benny (1894), Carl Bernstein (1944),Renée Fleming (1959), and Florence Henderson (1934).
