Bringing Renewable Energy to New Levels

Depending on choice of wind turbine, the Giraffe is able to produce 5 000 – 11 000 kWh per year even in countries with low solar radiation and moderate winds – providing power 24 hours a day, all year round.

Power to the People in disaster recovery Restoring electricity to a disaster area is vital for this area to undertake urgent disaster recovery activities.

After every disaster, it usually takes months to bring electric utilities in order so as to bring the grid back to life. During all those months, people of the Philippines are left without access to electricity.

To recover from such a disaster, access to electricity source is vital for at least four areas:

1.  Refrigeration: preservation of medicines, vaccines, food;

2.  Water: pumping and making the water drinkable is impossible without electricity;

3.  Telecom, using phone or internet: communication with families, rescue teams, Red Cross;

4.  Light: the day should not be over when the sun goes down.

Proposing a Sustainable Solution

Each day 10 Dali PowerTowers will provide 130 kWh which is enough energy for:

-  50 LED lights -  10 low consumption refrigerators -  10 laptops or 50 mobiles phones -  HotSpots for 100-500 users -  1 High Volume atmospheric water generator

providing 1100 litres of fresh water per day

The DDaallii PPoowweerrTToowweerr by InnoVentum is a hybrid wind-solar energy station that is robust,

easy to install, and made of renewable or recycled materials. It provides 4000-5000 kWh

of green energy per year – day and night

EEaassyy llooggiissttiiccss the wood is lightweight (compared to steel) and the construction is modular to reduce transport volume

TTyypphhoooonn-- && eeaarrtthhqquuaakkee--pprrootteecctteedd ddeessiiggnn the construction is robust and allows for easy disassembly if required. In collapsed position, the Dali PowerTower will be better protected against typhoons. Protection against xylophagous insects, larvas and termites will be required.

NNoo nneeggaattiivvee eeffffeecctt oonn tthhee eennvviirroonnmmeenntt renewable energy is clean and use of wood makes the system “carbon negative”– the wood used to make the structure had captured at least 2 tons of CO2 before it took shape of the PowerTower AND it produces energy without causing any emissions of CO2 or pollutants.

Energy Production: Hybrid Wind-Solar Systems for a Flatter and more Continuous Power Curve

Wind and solar energy are highly complementary: wind energy is generated mostly during nights and colder months of the year, whereas solar energy is only generated during daytime, especially in summer

energy production compared to pure wind or pure solar installations, thus solving the inevitable sinusoidal curve problem that is regarded as the only drawback of renewable energy. Such complementarity is the main principle utilised in a hybrid construction like the Dali PowerTower

bilister åkte fast utan bälte i Blekinge, när polisen gjorde sin stora nationella bilbältesrazzia förra veckan. Totalt hittade man 5 200 bilbältessyndare i landet.

Nu kalkas sjöarna Under helgen och på måndag kalkas sjöar och våtmarker in-om Lillåns, Lyckebyåns, Silletorpsåns och Nättrabyåns av-rinningsområden i Karlskrona kommun.

KARLSKRONA Dagsböter blev tingsrättens dom mot en 41-årig kvinna från Karlskrona som gjort sig skyldig till rattfylleri och narkoti-kabrott. Hon ska betala 2 500 kronor i böter samt en avgift på 500 kronor till en brottsof-ferfond. Hon stoppades förra våren när hon körde på väg till Holm-sjö från Karlskrona. Hon upplevde inte själv att hon hade några pro-blem med körningen. Vid ett blodprov upp-täcktes att hon hade narkotika i kroppen.

RÖDEBY En deltagare på en fest i Rödeby är misstänkt för två fall av misshandel.

Det hände kvart i tre på natten till lördagen, då en av festdeltagarna var berusad och hade somnat liggande på golvet.

Den misstänkte försökte väcka liv i ho-nom, och när han inte reste sig upp började han slå och sparka på denne.

En annan person som gick emellan fick två knytnävsslag i an-siktet.

KARLSKRONA En 60-årig man i Karlskrona misstänks för olaga hot efter att ha riktat en luftpistol mot en yngre man i lördags.

Luftpistolen hittades vid en husrannsakan som polisen gjorde.

Den hotade mannen uppgav att han såg att det inte var en riktig pistol, och att han där-för aldrig blev särskilt rädd.

KARLSKRONA En 25-årig man misstänks för två fall av misshandel nat-ten till söndagen i cen-trala Karlskrona.

Klockan 02 slog han en man i ansiktet med öppen hand utanför Harrys och en timme senare slog och sparka-de han en annan man på Klaipedaplatsen.
