Important tips Be sure to read the questions in the application form carefully.

Complete the application using the “How to Apply” guide on the Caring for our Country website at www.nrm.gov.au.

All fields in the application form have varying word limits. The character count limits set in the application form are final and should not be exceeded. Any text that exceeds the prescribed character limit will not be considered when your application is assessed. The character count includes spaces.

You cannot include images or attachments with your application form.

Questions marked with a * are mandatory and must be answered in order to submit your form.

Unless specified in the instructional text of the application form, no question should be deleted from the application form.

Only answers to questions included in the official application form will be assessed. Projects will be selected through a competitive grants process and assessors need all the information in the application form to be completed to ensure applications can be compared equally.

All information must be true and correct. Read and understand the declaration on the last page of the application form before agreeing and submitting.

Advise partners listed in the application form that they may be contacted by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) to confirm partnership arrangements. They must be prepared to confirm their partnership arrangement in writing on request.

Section 9: Risk ManagementRisks are an event that may impede the timely delivery of your project, or negatively impact on the quality of its outcomes. The risks associated with your project (what can go wrong) must be identified and propose treatments, this is to reduce or avoid, these risks. Ensure the risks and proposed treatments you identify are realistic for the project you are proposing.

Confidentiality and privacyApplicants must identify any information contained within their application which they consider should be treated as confidential and provide reasons for the request.

The Department will only consider a request for confidentiality where: the information to be protected is identified in specific rather than global terms; the information is., by its nature, confidential ; or disclosure would cause detriment to the parties concerned

The department is subject to the legislative and administrative accountability and transparency requirements of the Australian Government, including disclosures to the Parliament and its Committees. Notwithstanding any obligations of confidentiality, the department may disclose, or allow at any time the disclosure of, any information contained in or relating to any application: to its advisers, employees or internal management for purposes related to the application and

assessment processes, including to evaluate or otherwise assess applications and manage any resultant funding agreement
