OPENING SHOT IDEA - RECONSTRUCTION

We believe the sports field in Solihull Sixth Form would be a good location to film our reconstruction of a stabbing. There is a lot of greenery which would represent the location of a park, which is the most common place where knife related incidents occur due to their secluded nature.

The picture on the bottom left shows where the shot would begin and then it would gradually progress deeper into the sports field.

FIRST ESTABLISHING SHOT

The establishing shot shows the setting of where we are going to record as we are interviewing students from Solihull sixth form, therefore it is necessary to show a shot of this sign so people know where the shots are located.

We took a picture of the location so we could see what the surroundings are like and how safe it is to film there.

PROPOSED SHOT IDEAS

A member of the group taking a picture of books which we would use to show prosecution laws of Knife Crime in the UK. We believe using these cutaway shots would be visually intriguing and keep our target audience interested.

For this shot we went to the library of Solihull Sixth Form to investigate the availability of Law related books. If we were to use these shots, we would have to consider asking permission from librarians before filming because of the quiet nature of the shot location. The setting is ideal for taking these shots because of the large availability of resources.

PROPOSED SHOT IDEAS

For this shot we went to the canteen of Solihull Sixth Form to see whether it would be a suitable place to film. We decided it would be a good location to use to film an interview as the background would clearly show the audience we were at a college. However, in the end, we realised there would be too much background noise during the interviews which would make them unprofessional so we decided to find another location instead.
