This is my initial mock-up of my magazine cover. I have chosen to keep the cover very minimalist (this look continues throughout the publication) to avoid my magazine becoming like a glossy tabloid. The independent magazines that I

researched featured one cover image, often in black and white or filtered, and usually using only one model’s headshot. In the interests of conforming to my chosen genre, whilst also creating something original my magazine cover will

feature a single, high-quality black and white image depicting two or three young women (not models.)

The colours that I have chosen to use on my cover reflect the content of my magazine: the pink representing the fashion and beauty element, the green and

cool reflect the holistic, natural well-being aspect.
