GUARDIAN M I R R O R

GUARDIAN Mirror is a high quality mirror offering durability and beautiful reflectance. The possibilities for decoration are unlimited: small and confined spaces become bigger, dark and dull rooms fill up with light. GUARDIAN Mirror exceeds all existing quality requirements set by the European mirror norm EN 1036.

■ Appearance

GUARDIAN Mirror is highly reflective and offers a true image reflectance.

■ Heat resistance

It can be used in environments up to 60°C. Proximity with a strong heat source must be avoided.

■ Moisture resistance

If installation norm EN 1036 is respected, the mirror can be used in an environment where moisture is present (e.g. in a bathroom).

■ Scratch resistant

It is also available in DiamondGuard® version, in which glass side is more resistant to scratches than ordinary float glass.

■ Safety

GUARDIAN Mirror is available in two safety versions: Ultra-Mirror Safety (with a protection film) and LamiGlass® Mirror (laminated mirror) for superior resistance and protection.

■ Stocking

As with float glass, GUARDIAN Mirror must be stored in a dry environment. The edges of the product must be protected and contact with chemical products must be avoided. As ordinary mirror, it must be stored vertically.

■ Processing

It can be cut on the glass side and used in different fabrication processes (drilling, grinding, etc.).

The following sizes and thicknesses are available:

■ Sizes: 2250 x 3210 and 2550 x 3210 (other dimensions upon request);

■ Thicknesses:2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm.

■ Installation

Installation must be performed following installation norm EN 1036. A neutral silicon (free of solvent) or a double-sided adhesive can be used (a list of compatible products is available upon request).

■ Cleaning

It can be easily washed using a clean cloth with a standard and non-abrasive glass-cleaning product.

Do not use any acid or alkali cleaners, the protective coating and the silver layer could be damaged.

GUARDIAN LamiGlass® Mirror has been developed by GUARDIAN to combine decoration and maximum safety. This product can be used for many applications as decorative walls, pilars and partitions, where the highest safety standards are required (shopping centres, schools, swimming pools, fitness centres, hospitals, etc.).

■ Safety

GUARDIAN LamiGlass Mirror offers increased protection against injury and damage in case of breakage. It is manufactured with polyvinyl (PVB) interlayer that is designed to hold broken glass fragments between the two panes of glass. The product is certified to the safety norm EN356, class P1A for 3.3.2 and P2A for 4.4.2.

Also available in Absolute Black and Polar White (other colours upon request):

GUARDIAN DIAMONDGUARD ®

GUARDIAN DiamondGuard® is the only glass in the market that provides permanent scratch-resistance. Thanks to a unique and proprietary protective coating, the glass surface maintains its elegance longer. The product is ideal for interior decoration including: wall panels, sliding doors, partitions, table tops, shelving, furniture, shop furniture, doors, etc.

■ Stocking

GUARDIAN DiamondGuard must not be stored outside. Storage should be in a dry and clean place, a suitable distance away from external doors and corrosive chemicals. Relative humidity in the warehouse should not exceed 70% and a minimum temperature of 15°C should be maintained in order to prevent condensation.

■ Processing


■ Maintenance

With its smooth surface GUARDIAN DiamondGuard is easy to clean. The protective coating is stable against attack from common acids and alkalis, it doesn’t require special cleaning product or coating replenishment.

■ Installation

Can be installed with neutral silicon (free of solvent) or double-sided adhesive.


■ Sizes: 2250 x 3210, 2550 x 3210 and 3210 x 6000mm (other dimensions are available upon request);

■ Thicknesses: 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15mm.

■ Improved scratch resistance

GUARDIAN DiamondGuard coating offers to the glass a smoother and harder surface, with most materials simply sliding over it. The glass surface resists scratching from every-day items such as keys, bracelets, laptops, handbags, buttons, etc.

■ Durability and quality

GUARDIAN DiamondGuard coating is not a removable plastic film, but a durable and permanent protective layer that is bonded to glass. GUARDIAN DiamondGuard works to retain the beauty of glass, resulting in products that last longer.

GUARDIAN CRISTALGUARD TM

GUARDIAN CristalGuard® is the first and only shower glass that provides permanent protection against corrosion and discoloration. GUARDIAN has developed a patented technology that seals the glass surface against corrosion, creating an easy-to-clean surface that will maintain its original appearance for years to come.

■ Easier to clean

The surface of GUARDIAN CristalGuard glass is treated with a patented ion-beam deposition process to seal the surface against attack from chemicals and shower contaminants, allowing your glass to remain smooth and easy to clean.

■ Durability

Unlike spray-on or wipe-on treatments that eventually come off, the coating on GUARDIAN CristalGuard glass is permanent.

■ UV-sensitive

CristalGuard is designed to be used for interior applications only.

■ Heat-resistance

Contact with a strong heat source must be avoided.

■ Colours

Available on DecoCristal® Safety, a lacquered glass with a safety film that is certified to the safety norm EN1260.

■ Smooth

The protective coating provides to the glass a coefficient of friction being less than half that of standard float glass. This results in a much smoother surface than ordinary glass.

■ Stocking

GUARDIAN CristalGuard must not be stored outside. Storage should be in a dry and clean place, a suitable distance away from glass washers, external doors and corrosive chemicals. Relative humidity in the warehouse should not exceed 70% and a minimum temperature of 15°C should be maintained in order to prevent condensation. GUARDIAN DecoCristal® is a float glass that is lacquered with an opacified paint. It can be used in the widest range of interior decoration projects (e.g. commercial buildings, offices, hotels, homes, etc.) for applications such as partitions, sliding doors, kitchen furniture, tables, wardrobe doors, etc. GUARDIAN DecoCristal offers numerous possibilities (safety version, easy-to-clean shower glass, scratch resistant and personalised colours). It provides modern design and beauty in any decoration project.

®

The combination of GUARDIAN CristalGuardTM DecoCristal® gives the first easy-to-clean coloured glass that represents an alternative to wall tiles. A unique lacquered glass that is permanently protected against hard water corrosion and discoloration and that reduces the chance of injury due to glass breakage by using a safety film on the back.

■ Easy to install

You can easily install this product with silicone and without a lot of cuts.

■ Safety

The polypropylene film brings the safety that is required in a bathroom. In case of breakage, the glass remains fixed to the safety film, reducing the risk of injury. The product is certified to the safety norm EN12600, class 3 for 4mm and class 2 for 6mm.

■ UV-sensitive

GUARDIAN CristalGuardTM DecoCristal® is designed to be used for interior applications only.

The use of glass as wall covering in bathroom avoids the presence of seal where bacteria and dirt can accumulate. Besides, thanks to CristalGuard, it is now very easy to maintain the shiny and glossy appearance of your glass, in the back of your shower or for the walls of your bathroom. Combined with CristalGuard, DecoCristal coloured glass will keep its brightness and shiny colour for longer with minimal cleaning efforts. GUARDIAN CristalGuardTM Deco-Cristal® can be installed in all places which have direct or indirect contact with water or liquids (showers, sink, bathtube, toilets, etc.).

GUARDIAN LamiGlass® Deco is a product composed of two sheets of float glass bonded by one or several coloured PVB interlayers. GUARDIAN LamiGlass Deco brings colours, light and safety in the decorative and architectural world. It can be used in many applications: windows, decorative wall, ceiling, pillar, stairs etc. This product is suitable for exterior and interior, for public and private places, where the highest safety standards are required (shopping centres, universities, swimming pools, fitness centres, hospitals, etc.).

■ Appearance

Also available with LamiGlass Mirror®, SatinDeco®, DecoCristal® and UltraClearTM low-iron glass.

■ Colours

There are 16 foundation colours, which can be combined (4 colours layers maximum) or used separately. Thus GUARDIAN is able to personalize GUARDIAN LamiGlass Deco in the colour of your choice, there are over 3.000 transparent, translucent or opaque colour options*.

These colours are indicative only, they don’t give an accurate reproduction of the LamiGlass Deco range.

■ Acoustic properties

This product can also be combined with GUARDIAN LamiGlass Acoustic.

GUARDIAN SatinDeco® is an acid-etched glass that offers an excellent surface finish, making it very easy to clean. Thanks to its elegant appearance and great versatility, this glass is ideal for a wide range of applications including: windows, doors, floors, homes, offices, hotels, public buildings, shops, etc. GUARDIAN SatinDeco has become a key product in modern day decoration creating a elegant, clear and bright environment.

■ Appearance and Quality

GUARDIAN SatinDeco has an excellent silky finish. It disperses the light and transforms the transparent float into a translucent glass.

■ Uses

Perfect for decorative applications indoor and outdoor.

■ Easy to clean

With its smooth surface the product is easy to clean and helps to prevent finger prints.

■ Environment

GUARDIAN SatinDeco manufacturing line includes the most advanced technology to treat any waste product that is derived from the manufacturing process.
