Road and connectivity

1. Proposal to develop NH 2 from Delhi to Ballabgarh to expressway standards.

2. Total road length is 1138.00 km.

3. On the westward road pattern is grid and organic pattern and on the eastward it is grid iron pattern.

4. Railway is passing through Faridabad in most of the Delhi routes.

PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Water supply1. Faridabad meets its water demand solely from

groundwater. 2. According to CDP, there are 420 deep tube wells, 3. Supplying water through a 910-km long network. 4. Water supply in Faridabad increased from 184 mld in 1998-

1999 to 229 mld in 2003-2004 through NIUA.5. Only 45% water supply connections are legal and there is

huge percentage of extraction of water illegally.6. There are 22 ground level storage reservoirs (GLSR) fitted

with boosting stations. The total capacity of the GLSRs is 54.55 ML.

PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Sewerage system1. Yamuna is only a disposal medium for industrial

and domestic waste.2. Sewage generation is estimated to be 118 mld

based on 140-lpcd water supply.3. 100 mld of sewage is collected and treated at

STPs.4. For 91 sectors, it has divided it into four

sewerage zones. Strom water drainage1. Primary drains is Yamuna river.2. Secondary drains are natural channel/ nallah.3. Tertiary drains road side built up kutcha

structure.

Education facilities1. There are 22 colleges, 3 universities, 32

private schools.2. There are more than 50 dispensary and 7

multispecialty hospitals.3. There are more than 10 parks per sector

and one town park of 5 sq km.4. There is international cricket stadium

named Nahar Singh stadium.

SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Faridabad is known only for industrial capability , it is 9th industrial city of Asia.

It has 20% of land area of city and around 1500 small and big industries are present and it has major industries like Escorts, Yamaha, Whirlpool etc.

IT sector is weak in Faridabad, so is outgoing traffic in morning and incoming traffic in evening of Faridabad is high.

Economic Infrastructure

Industrial zone is major area and potential for city growth.

Rail network is through the city. Connectivity from New Delhi, Gurgaon and

Noida. Specially DMRC has connected with

Faridabad.
