Mission and Vision

The Mission and Vision of Rancho Mirage High School will be refined by the staff, students and community. The following are the district mission, district goals, and administrative vision for the planning and opening of RMHS.

District MissionStudents will graduate from high school prepared and motivated to succeed in their chosen career and higher education, ultimately contributing to the common good. This mission is to be accomplished through the beliefs and focus of the Palm Springs Unified School District.

District Goals

All students in PSUSD will meet grade level proficiency in standards in the core academic subjects as measured by the California Standards Test (CST).

All English Language Learners will advance one level per year in English Language proficiency as measured by the California English Language Development Test.

All students will attend school every day and graduate from high school.

*These goals are accomplished through highly effective, research-based first teaching, strategic and intensive intervention, and data-driven collaboration (PLCs) that informs instruction.

Performing Arts Pathway

Students will have the opportunity to explore their area of interest (theatre, band, choir, and dance) as well as participate in synchronized musical theatre productions.

This pathway includes a sequence of Career Technical Education (CTE) courses (set design, sound and lighting, and stage production) combined with a rigorous course of study in the core academic areas.

Culinary Arts Pathway

Students will prepare to advance into college, technical trade school, or job opportunity in the culinary industry.

RMHS Boundary

Boundary / Transfer Information

PSUSD is an Open Enrollment District: PSUSD is requiring that all students entering grades

9 and 10 in the 2013/14 school year who wish to attend a school other than RMHS to complete a transfer request between January 7, 2013 and February 7, 2013. 

All transfer request applications must be submitted electronically through the computer station in the Student Services office  from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 980 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262.

Transfers may be revoked for poor attendance and behavior through SARB

It is the responsibility of the parent to provide transportation for the pupil.
