informational and fact finding meeting

about a prospective group trip to Israel.

From the Pastor

There is a television show that I refuse to watch, “Hoarders.”

Less than ten minutes of one episode was all that was necessary for

me to know I had seen enough. It was difficult to see people filling

every square inch of their homes, garages, and sheds with various

objects to no apparent end. It was just a constant need to acquire

more of some thing.

Then it hit me. Many Christians are hoarders of information. We attend church,

listening to sermons, taking notes, and then going home. We just store more and

more information without ever sharing the information learned in our Bible studies,

devotionals, or journals. How do we release this information? The months, or years,

of learning of God’s love, His provision, and His pursuit of a relationship with each

person could be appropriated to other people. But how?

We are currently in a 4-part series entitled, “Tell Someone.” Over these next few

weeks, we will explore how to organize what we have learned through our years of

following God and to share our experience with the people in our part of our world.

I hope you will take advantage of these weeks by not just “adding to our information”

but practicing Monday through Saturday. We will have some “practice” nights

October 3, 10, and 17. You may take the name of a church guest, a gift to deliver,

and go introduce yourself. Share what you can and invite them to church with you.

Let’s stop hoarding what we know and pass it along. Tell someone!

In Christ,

Bro. Tommy
