Types & purposes of graphic representations What are the 7 types of graphic representations & when each would

be best used? I recommend focusing on bar/column charts, line & pie charts.

Spreadsheet software What are the five applications of spreadsheet software? What are the different elements of spreadsheet software? Make sure you know how to build basic formulas from given functions.

What is the purpose of AutoFill?


Design elements What are design elements? List & describe (briefly) each of the design principles.

Design Tools Why do we use design tools? You will be required to construct & annotate AT LEAST ONE

Data Validation What are the different types of validation? How is efficiency measured? How is effectiveness measured? Why is validation important when using spread sheet

software?


Formats & Conventions What is a format? What is a convention? What’s the difference between the two? Be able to list some common conventions that are used in

spread sheets & graphic representations.

Testing techniques What are the characteristics of an effective solution? What is the difference between testing & validation? What ‘tool’ can be used when testing for functionality?

What do you need to have for successful communications? Sending/receiving, communications devices, communication

channels/transmission media.

What are the advantages & disadvantages of using a network?

Know some advantages/disadvantages for each.

What are the two categories of transmission media?

OUTCOME 3: ICT IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY

This outcome covered the following 5 areas of ICT and their impact on their respective stakeholders.


Look at each of the ICT issues: Computer Gaming Social Networking Robotics & AI e-Commerce CLOUD COMPUTING

There is at least ONE question regarding EACH of these particular areas. Know what they are, as well as at least two benefits & disadvantages for each.

Also know how to reduce the risks of each particular issue.


Know the reasons for the issues Legal Social Environmental Ethical

There will be a question based on one of these reasons.
