Admission requirements
Once the student receives an e-mail as selected student from his/her origin International Office, he/she will receive an e-mail from University of Valladolid with information concerning his/ her registration. The student will be required the following documents :
• National ID or Passport (valid for the whole period) • Evidence of B1 Spanish language level (diploma) • Medical insurance, including repatriation and international medical evacuation
costs (valid for the whole period) • Learning Agreement filled in with the courses to be undertaken at our university

The International Office will check this documentation and, once validated, will submit the Acceptance Letter to the student.

All students will do the enrolment at the International Relations Office, except those following double degree programmes, who will formalize it at their corresponding Faculty/School.

Course load A maximum of 30ECTS per term
Language of instruction
Most of the courses are taught in Spanish. The language level recommended for incoming students according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is Spanish B1 or English B1 for students following English taught courses.
All incoming students must show evidence of a B1 Spanish language level when registering on-line at University of Valladolid. In case they do not provide any language certification, they will be required to attend an intensive Spanish course at the beginning of their stay at the Language Center of our university.
Only the following courses are taught in English at the University of Valladolid: o International Semester Programmes: Industrial Engineering, Commerce, Agricultural
Sciences and Education o Courses ordinarily taught in English
Language courses The UVa Language Centre offers Spanish courses (among other languages) with which students may obtain 3 ECTS if they provide a certificate of attendance and completion of the course. For further information please visit The Language Centre website

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Accommodation
UVa provides foreign students with support before their arrival considering their accommodation preferences. The approximate rental costs for a room in a shared flat/apartment are 250-300€ per month.
Living expenses Aprox. 350-400€/month.
Immigration procedures
A. EU citizens: they must go to the Police Station to register their stay.
B. Citizens from outside the European Union: they must contact the Spanish embassy of their country of residence to obtain a student visa. In case their stay is longer than 6 months, they must go to the Police Station and apply for their “Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero (TIE)”.
Insurance For their temporary stay in Spain, students from the EU must obtain the European Health Insurance Card before leaving their countries. It will be mandatory for all students/professors/staff visiting Universidad de Valladolid in the framework of any international mobility programme or bilateral agreement, to have an insurance policy covering, at least, the following eventualities:
• Accident • Illness (international medical evacuation inclusive) • Repatriation in case of death
The students will present the insurance policy upon their arrival. Insurance policy (or its corresponding official translation) is accepted in any of the following languages: Spanish (preferably), English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
In case students do not have a policy, Universidad de Valladolid offers them an insurance policy covering their complete period of mobility, regardless of its length. Please note that the approximate prize of this insurance will be 115 €/year.

Requisitos de Registro y Admisión
Cuando el estudiante recibe el e-mail como seleccionado le enviaremos la información de cómo registrarse.
Se les pedirá la siguiente documentación:
• Documento Nacional de Identidad o pasaporte (válido para toda la estancia). • Acreditación de Nivel B1 de lengua española, según MECR (certificado). • Seguro médico, incluido traslado sanitario internacional y repatriación (válido para
toda la estancia). • El acuerdo/contrato de estudios que quiere realizar en nuestra Universidad (solicitar
modelo a: [email protected]). Para cumplimentarlo, el estudiante puede consultar la información de las asignaturas disponibles en oferta académica.
Una vez revisada y validada la documentación anterior el estudiante será admitido y se le enviará la Carta de Aceptación.

Idioma en que se imparten las clases
A. Cuando la mayoría de las asignaturas escogidas por el estudiante se impartan en español, se recomendará un nivel de B1 de español, según MECR.
B. Cuando todas las asignaturas que curse el estudiante se impartan en inglés, se recomendará un nivel B1 de español y de inglés, según MECR.
En ambos casos, cuando el estudiante no cuente con un certificado de idioma español, deberá asistir obligatoriamente al curso intensivo de español ofertado por el Centro de Idiomas de la UVa.
SOLAMENTE se impartirán en inglés en la Universidad de Valladolid las clases de: • Semestres Internacionales: disponibles para Ingeniería Industrial, Comercio, Ciencias de
la Agricultura o Educación. • Asignaturas específicas con docencia en inglés (consultar listado).

INFORMACIÓN PRÁCTICA
Alojamiento
La UVa ofrece ayuda al estudiante en la búsqueda de alojamiento antes de su llegada y en base a las preferencias que él/ella nos indique.
El coste aproximado de una habitación en un piso/apartamento compartido con estudiantes es de 250-300 €/mes.
Coste de la vida El coste aproximado de la vida es de 350-400€/mes
Trámites de Extranjería
A. Ciudadanos de la EU: deberán ir a la Oficina de Policía a registrar su estancia.
B. Ciudadanos Extracomunitarios: deberán contactar con la Embajada Española en sus respectivos países para obtener un visado para poder venir a Valladolid. En caso de que su estancia sea superior a 6 meses deberán tramitar también a su llegada la Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero (TIE) en la Oficina de Policía.
Seguro médico Los estudiantes de la UE deberán tramitar la Tarjeta Sanitaria Europea (TSE) antes de salir de su país.
Todos los estudiantes que vengan a la Universidad de Valladolid (no importa bajo qué programa o convenio), obligatoriamente, deberán tener una póliza de seguro que cubra las siguientes eventualidades:
- Asistencia sanitaria (no necesario si se posee TSE) - Accidente - Enfermedad (incluido transporte al país de origen) - Repatriación en caso de fallecimiento
Los estudiantes presentarán la póliza del seguro a su llegada. Dicha póliza y/o su correspondiente traducción será aceptada en los siguientes idiomas: español
(preferentemente), inglés, francés, italiano y portugués.
En caso de que no tener una póliza que cumpla los requisitos indicados, la Universidad de Valladolid ofrece la posibilidad de contratar una póliza cuya validez cubra toda la estancia del contratante, sin importar la duración de la misma. El coste aproximado de esta póliza será de 115€/año.
