Program Requirements• All students are responsible for:

– Attending class and completing homework and quizzes.– Regular internet and email access.

• Externship placement requires:– Resume.– Proof of computer proficiency, verification of valid CPR training

and verification of a current health exam and tuberculosis screening. ( In some states and in some locations certain immunizations are required).

– Additional costs outside of tuition, such as shoes and uniforms.– Daily availability to work.

• Clinical or back-office medical assistant • Escorts patient to the exam room• Assess why the patient is visiting• Measurements like temperature and pulse• Assist the doctor with procedures
