will be well looked after in RCS
How can I help?
I will meet with and visit as many of your homes as possible throughout the year.
I'm involved in the transition from Primary to Secondary school, exchanging information & offer parents advice to make the transition as smooth as possible
Part of care-team, so I keep an "eye out" for the welfare & wellbeing of students
Parents becoming involved
I organise classes for parents and encourage them to attend and become actively involved in the life of RCS.
I help to further development of literacy & numeracy by organising weekly classes with parents helping out and becoming tutors

The department consists of a core team of specialist teachers.
Our job is to ensure students are accommodated in RCS.
We work with students with a variety of needs across the continuum of support.
When your child begins school at RCS
• Firstly, we will get to know your child.
• Informal assessments, primary school reports/passports, parent and student questionnaires and psycho-educational/outside agency reports will assist us with putting supports in place.
• We will set targets for your child each term.
If you have any questions/concerns
• Send us an e-mail.
• Use our Padlet page to ask questions anonymously.
• Request a call back through the office.
• Meetings can be arranged (upon request) with a member of the SEN team.

Ms Linda Rogers –[email protected]
I’ll be helping you settle in in the first few weeks and will be working with small groups and individuals throughout the year.
I’ll be helping you figure out your timetables and lockers and will also work with you on staying focussed and ready in class, especially if you are a student who finds it hard to sit still and listen and sometimes gets into trouble.
I can’t wait to meet you all! See you in the Autumn!
