The CIO felt that increased communication between IT and power users would increase adoption rates. Situation The first thing the CIO did was make a point of meeting business stakeholders and customers face-to-face. He answered questions, and openly discussed upcoming changes and initiatives. These discussions worked to align IT and business goals, and ensured that business end users and customers were properly informed. This openness also allowed IT to identify and establish evangelist power users, which helped extend IT’s reach.
