We offer a number of options, allowing you a flexible learning experience. We are able to help you graduate with a certificate, diploma or an advanced diploma, depending on your end goal.

InTerneT AppLIcATIonS And Web deveLopMenT– a two-year Ontario College Diploma program (laptop required) that will prepare students to work in the growing field of web-centric commercial application development. The focus of the program is on the construction of various types of web applications using leading web environments, tools, servers, databases and languages. In addition, students will learn the fundamentals of both traditional web deployment platforms as well as new emerging mobile platforms. They will develop an understanding of basic hardware, networking and operating systems as well as the installation and configuration of web and e-mail servers in Windows and Linux. Training will also include studies in leading edge technologies such as social networking systems and semantic web applications. Students will gain the knowledge required to build secure, reliable and useful web applications using industry standard photo, graphics, animation, database, page design and programming tools. Graduates will typically find employment as web developers, web technicians, webmasters, web programmers, web application developers, internet site developers, e-commerce website developers, web administrators, internet programmers or as members of an integrated web development team.

Graduate CertifiCate ProGrams

gAMe deveLopMenT - AdvAnCed ProgrAmmIng – a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program designed to provide students with specialized skills and knowledge required to enter the rapidly growing entertainment, educational, training and simulation software development industries. Students will get an in-depth study of what game programmers do as part of larger project technical teams: graphics effects, animation systems, artificial intelligence, physical modelling, sound, and scripting systems. Students will learn how to create, configure, and integrate custom game components. Other aspects of gaming like game models, simulation, performance and configuration of both single player and multi-player games will also be explored and implemented. Each student will assemble a portfolio of game fragments and demonstrations to showcase their capabilities to potential employers. Graduates will be able to obtain positions such as Game Programmer, C++ Programmer, and Game Developer with opportunities in programming beyond the Game Industry.

InForMATIon SecurITY MAnAgeMenT – a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program, designed to provide students with an overall approach to information systems security as it applies to business. The program is entirely web delivered and will provide a broad understanding of security concepts and concentrate on industry best practices for information security. Students will gain the knowledge required to manage both the strategic and operational aspects of information security. Students will be able to obtain positions such as security analysts, chief security officer, information security auditor, and threat-risk/vulnerability security specialist.

coMpuTer progrAMMer AnALYST – a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program (laptop required) with a co-op education component. You will receive in-depth training in specific areas of corporate and commercial software development with an emphasis on object-oriented development in both Windows and Linux-based client/server and web application systems. You will be prepared for opportunities in the financial, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, service, medical, scientific and engineering industries.

coMpuTer SYSTeMS TechnIcIAn – a two-year Ontario College Diploma program (laptop required). Graduates work in the high demand areas of workstation, server, application, network, security and virtualization support. This program provides the students the ability to think critically, solve problems, and acquire new skills quickly. The program emphasizes the hands-on installation and configuration of workstations, servers, networking equipment, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, web servers, database servers, mail servers, IT security, effective communication, problem solving and teamwork skills. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have obtained the requisite skills and knowledge necessary to prepare for and write, should they choose, a multitude of industry related certification exams including: Hardware, Operating Systems, Server Applications, Networking CCNA and Security from industry leaders: Cisco, Comp TIA, Dell, Microsoft and VMware.

coMpuTer SYSTeMS TechnoLogY – a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program (laptop required) with a co-op education component. Graduates work in the high demand areas of network, datacenter, security and systems operations and management. This program provides the students with the ability to be effective team leaders, think critically, solve problems and acquire new skills quickly. The program emphasizes the design, implementation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, management, as well as the hands-on installation of networking, security, virtualization, server/workstation operating systems technologies. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have obtained the requisite skills and knowledge necessary to prepare for and write, should they choose, a multitude of industry related certification exams including: Hardware, Operating Systems, Server Applications, Networking CCNA/CCNP, Security and Virtualization from industry leaders: Cisco, Comp TIA, Dell, Microsoft and VMware and EMC2.

Admission requirements*The minimum requirements for admission to all post-secondary programs is an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (U/C) or Open (O) stream or equivalent or mature student with the stated academic requirements.
