6. University Departments: language requirements, degree courses and International Coordinators
The following pages list detailed information about each Department of the University of Parma: minimum language skills1 required for
exchange students, available degree courses, list of the Departmental Coordinators/Responsible Persons in charge of approving Learning
Agreements.
The Sending Institution, complying with the agreement with the Receiving Institution, is responsible for providing support to its
nominated candidates so that they can have the recommended language skills at the start of the study period; the language knowledge
must be declared in the Learning Agreement approved by the Sending Institution.
Italian language competence is required in order to attend courses taught in Italian. Foreign students will be offered Italian language
courses during their mobility period in order to improve their Italian language skills.
English language may be used for the preparation of the thesis, final exams, attendance of courses and degrees fully taught in English
language.
For Erasmus+ mobility for traineeship (SMT), where not specified, an Italian B2 or English B2 minimum level is required.
