Self-Erecting or Hybrid Structure

LANCO offers two different types of inflatable tents:

ARZ – self-erecting inflatable tents with a completely inflatable frame. All supporting elements are made of airtight fabric. The tents can be set up by only one person using an electric blower or compressed air.

ARZ H – hybrid inflatable tents have inflatable arches of airtight fabric. During assembly, aluminium poles are inserted between the arches. The tents can only be set up using an electric blower. Three people are required to set up the tent.

LANCO has been developing and manufacturing tents since 1953. Top quality is our standard. Our quality management system has ISO 9001 accreditation. The latest technologies for computer-aided cutting to size, high-frequency welding, seam taping and sewing are used.In the past 55 years LANCO tents have demonstrated their quality in more than 30 countries and in widely varying climatic conditions. We have our own development department and therefore can also offer special designs to meet customer requirements.

ARZ - Self-Erecting Inflatable Tents

Frame: Completely inflatable, of airtight double-sided PVC coated polyester fabric [1,100 g/m²], fastened with Velcro closures to the tent skin and floor. Easy replacement of tent skin, floor and frame. The tents can be set up in 1.5 minutes using the compressed air kit. Depending on tent size, assembly takes 2-4 minutes when using an electric blower. A pressure relief valve prevents excessive pressure in the frame.

Tent skin and floor: Tent skin of one-sided PU coated polyester fabric [240 g/m²]; flame resistent, waterproof and mildew resistant design. Floor covering of double-sided PVC coated polyester fabric [550 g/m²]. Available with non-slip embossing as option [850 g/m²].

ARZ H - Hybrid Inflatable Tents

Frame: Inflatable arches of airtight double-sided PVC coated polyester fabric [1,100 g/m²]. Separable alumi-nium tubes between the arches at the eaves and at the ridge. Each arch is inflated individually and each arch has a pressure relief valve. The arches are fastened to the outer skin with Velcro closures and can be replaced individually.

Tent skin and floor: Tent skin of double-sided PVC coated polyester fabric [490 g/m²]; flame resistant, of waterproof and mildew resistant design. Floor covering of double-sided PVC coated polyester fabric [550 g/m²]. Available with non-slip embossing as option [850 g/m²].

ARZ Frame

Optimised Design

The frame of the self-erecting ARZ has been optimised for compressed air bottles. The tubes in the eaves and in the ridge are smaller in diameter [15 cm] than the supporting framing [23 cm]. This means that valuable time is saved when setting up the tent and less compressed air is needed than for a tent where all the hoses have the same cross-section. Expensive aspirators to take in additional ambient air are not required.

The ARZ H tubes have an extra large diameter of 40 cm. This allows the use of inner liners and sunroofs. The tent is less sensitive to snow loads. The individual hoses can be replaced without dismantling the tent.

The 25° roof pitch of all tents ensures optimal rainwater run-off and snow slide-off.

Extremely robust fabric such as the one used for inflatable dinghies is used for the inflatable frame: 1,100 g/m² and a thickness of 0.6 mm set the standard here. The seams of the frame are doubly secured and the corner joints are of mitre design.

All entrances to the inflatable tents can be interconnected. The ARZ 30 – ARZ 60 and ARZ 15 H – ARZ 60 H are available with additional side entrances. This stands for an unlimited number of combination options. Tents with a side entrance can be used as centrepoint tent, or an ARZ 10 can serve as an extension to an ARZ 60 H.

Calculation of the heating output required for tents:The heat lost in tents is to a large extent proportional to the outer surface area. The entire outer surface area in square metres serves as the basis for calculating the amount of heat needed for the tents. As the desired temperature increase may vary greatly due to the wide range of uses to which tents are put, the temperature increase has also been taken into account in the table above. For calculation purposes, a closed tent is assumed.

Example:If the lowest assumed outside temperature is -5 C° and the desired inside temperature is +15C°, this corre-sponds to a temperature increase of 20 C°.For an ARZ 20 this means that a heater with a heating output of at least 7.7 kW is required.

Lights with aluminium housing and IP54 protective category or lights with polycarbonate housing and IP65 protective category can be provided.
