WATERJET CUTTING

• Technology

The water jet cutting is a high pressure cut

made with a mixture of water and abrasive sand.

The jet of water and abrasive, coming out from

the machine at a very high pressure and speed,

can make any kind of cut, shaping and

perforation, on any type of material and design,

with a high precision and without thermal or

mechanical alterations.

• Materials

Copper - Brass - Aluminum - Bronze - Titanium -

Stainless steel - Inconel - Hastalloy - Hardox -

and other alloys of any type and hardness, can

be quickly worked, without mechanical or

physical alterations and without the necessity of

further surface treatments.

• Precision

The cut is very precise and has a tolerance lower

than 0,05 mm/m.

The execution time is particularly fast. The

maximum cut speed is 30 m/min.

The waterjet cut does not cause chemical or

structural alterations or microcracks

We can cut materials whose thickness may vary

from a few mm up to 200 mm.

Punching is the standard method for manufacturing perforated

sheets in case such working process cannot be applied.

Each hole depending on the type of material and thickness may

have a minimum diameter of 0.4 mm to a maximum of 50 mm.

Milling applies to all those cases in which slot holes can not be

realized by traditional punching or drilling.

For close holes up to 0,15 mm width milling become the most

convenient technology.

Four types of slot holes can be obtained thanks to this process:

Conical parabolic slot, Cylindrical parallel slot, Bi-Cylindrical

trapezoidal slot, Bi-Cylindrical cylindrical slot.

The slot holes can be produced on customer’s request or

drawing; this aspect is particularly interesting in case of special

applications.

• The Filtering pack is a sandwich made of metal wire mesh and a supporting grid; its main task consists in the removal of the drops carried by the steam.

• The Filtering pack properly used can reduce the liquid carried by an element up to hundred times more than a standard unit; it can reduce losses up to 50% or increase capacity of factor up to three or four times.

•

The Filtering pack can be manufactured in plastic mesh or several metals such as Inconel, Copper, Aluminum, Hastelloy, Titanium, etc; it may have and in any shape or size.
