Transcript of Industriens Hus You are invited!...
Adhesion and friction between plastic parts andtool surfaces is a well-known problem in plasticinjection moulding and a limiting factor for pro-ductivity, part quality and mould life.
The Super-Moulds project, which is supportedby the Innovation Fund Denmark via collabora-tion with EUREKA, systematically investigatesthe relationship between surface coatings, textures and demoulding properties in plasticinjection moulding.
It is the aim of the Danish-Swiss consortium to develop optimised surface treatments which lead to an increase in the efficiency and lifetime of the moulds. The optimised surface treatments are expected to extend the stable process window of injection moulding and at the same time facilitate the elimination of slip angles and additives. The initial knowledge obtained from the Super-Moulds project will be presented at an open seminar for the plastic indus-try on January 21st 2020 at Industriens Hus in Copenhagen.

About Super-Moulds
The project experts will convey the new insights in coating, texturing and measurement methodology in relation to plastic injection moulding. Furthermore, there are good opportunities to network and exchange experiences with the project partners. The project partners contribute with the following to the project:
SP Moulding A/S, Novo Nordisk A/S, Gibo Plast A/S and Michael Lundbech A/SEnd-users, who test and validate the solutions under industrial conditions
Danish Technological Institute, Tribology Centre Coating development and project management
The Institute of Applied Plastics Research (iRAP) – School of Engineering & Architecture of Fribourg (CH)Injection moulding under controlled test conditions

The Super-Moulds consortium is looking for new cases!
If your company is struggling with a problem re-lated to sticking in plastic injection moulding, the Super-Moulds consortium can offer to address the problem by providing textures and coatings.
The Super-Moulds project will cover the costs of these processes, provided that the outcome can be used as part of the project results.
This work is partly funded by the Innovation Fund Denmark (IFD) under File No. 6151-00004B.
