A lot of tourists are expected to visit India during Commonwealth Games

A system is required to provide translation of foreign to regional words.

It provides audio and picture of the translated word.

It has the capability to transfer data. User can contact helpdesk 24*7. It provides audio cues for visually disabled.

To remove language barrier between tourists and locals.

To protect tourists from getting fleeced. To avoid carrying separate guide and

translator To provide round the clock access and

support. To provide a consolidated environment. To provide a better travelling experience.

It allows the user to create new word entries.

It has the ability to take photographs. It also uses the Bluetooth OBEX Standard to transfer data.

It implements SMS and Voice Call Features.

It provides audio cues to the visually impaired

It facilitates searching of a particular entry. It requires very little programming

capability. A user can take photo notes by using the

Take Photo Module. It provides not just the translation but their

pronunciation as well. Most of the errors have been handled using

Exception Handling.

Software Requirements –   Python Interpreter for s60 devices(Pys60) PED(a text editor for python s60)  Hardware Requirements –   A Series S60 Mobile Device(Nokia E 63) with Symbian OS 9.2, Series 60 ARM 11 369 MHz processor TFT, 16M colors Display , 320 x 240 pixels, 2.36 inches Full QWERTY keyboard GPRS Internal memory Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP Wi-Fi 2 MP camera SMS

The project has a rich graphic user interface. It provides efficient and quicker service to all

users. This application will abridge the language gap It has text to speech conversion feature for

visually impaired people Features like taking a snapshot and sending it

to another device makes it more flexible This application will keep the tourists updated

about the weather conditions in the city

This project can be enhanced to support multiple language fonts .

Photo sharing can be used to publish or transfer user’s digital photos online and share with their friends on social networking sites.

Online help can be provided using GPRS We can use Google Maps to provide better

travelling options and nearby hangouts like favourite eatouts and popular monuments.

Future scope contd. The latest 3G services could be one of the

much awaited feature,servives like live video help desk

User Interface can be made more attractive and more user friendly using QT.
