Introduction Indu Jain was born on September 08, 1936

in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh

She was married to late Ashok Kumar Jain. She has two sons – Samir and Vineet.

Indu Jain is the current chairperson of India's largest media group, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., which owns the Times of India the most circulated news paper in India.

Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd is the nation's largest media group. It was founded in the year 1838, and is based in Mumbai, India

In 1948, Ram Krishna Dalmia sold out the company to the present group, Sahu Shanti Prasad.

The company has eleven publishing centers, fifteen printing centers, fifty-five sales offices, over 7000 employees, five dailies, including two of the largest in the country with approx 4.3 million copies circulated daily, two lead magazines, twenty-nine niche magazines reaching 2468 cities and towns, thirty-two radio stations, two television news channels, one television life style channel and turnover in excess of USD 700 million.
