Some spills may blot up quickly and easily while others may penetrate the wood.For most spills, quick action can reduce the possibility of damage.

Never rub or scrub a spill.

• Blotupthespillimmediatelyandpolishwithasoft,cleancloth.

• Candlewaxorgummustbelefttohardenandthengentlypoppedupwith anon-stickspatulaorcreditcard.Removeanyresiduewithfurniture cleanerandallowthesurfacetodrybeforeyouapplypolish.

Unpacking:

• Hardwoodmustbeoiledtoavoidthewoodabsorbingwaterandwidening.

• Thewoodmustbetreatedwithoilbeforeitisused.Applyplentyofoiland letitabsorbforabout10minutes.

• Thenwipeawaytheexcessoilwithacloth.

• Ifyouleavetheoilonfortoolong,itcanleavedarkstains.

• Ifthewoodisstillabsorbingoil,treatmentshouldberepeated.

• Surfacesmustbecleanedregularly.

• Ensuresurfacesarecleanbeforeoilingthem,toavoidtheabsortion ofdirtormouldintothewood.

• Useaplasticcovertoavoiddirtanddust.

Treatment:

• Theeasiestwaytooilthewood,istoputtheoilinaspraybottleandspray itontothefurniture.Remembertoalsoapplytothebottomoftheproduct.• Hardwoodisalivingmaterialandwilladjusttotheenvironmentinwhich itisplaced.• Hardwoodmustbetightenedregularlyatthejoints,especiallywhenbeingused forthefirsttime.

Storage:• Itisrecommendedthatalloutdoorfurnituremadeofwoodbekeptinunheated spaces,likegaragesorstorerooms.

Ordinary perspiration, grime and body oils will damage leather if not removed

frequently, which is why areas of direct contact (armrests, headrests, seat cushions)

should be given extra attention when cleaning.

• Avoidoverwettingoftheleather.

• Avoidoverrubbing.

• Leatherisverysensitivetoultravioletlight,andifplacedindirectsun

light,willfade.

• Avoiddirectheatfromfiresandradiatorswhichcandryoutanddistortthe

leather.

• Gentlywipethespillwithclear,lukewarmwater,cleaningtheentirearea

• Treatthetimberwithfurnitureoilevery3months.

• Directsunlightcouldcausetimbertocrack.

If Leaving Outside:

Your furniture has already been factory treated with an oil preservative, however we do

recommend after unpacking and assembling your furniture, you thoroughly clean your

furniture to remove any dust particles, then lightly oil the furniture and let dry.

Step 1: Important.

• Afteroilingwipeofftheexcessoil,thenallowtheoiltodryfor(4)hoursin

thesunlight.

• Wipeoffagainwithacleanragremovinganyexcessoilthatmaynothave

• Alltimberfurnituregoesthroughasettlinginperiod,wherefastenersmustbe

tightenedregularly.donotleavefastenersuntightened,thiscouldcause

furnituredamage.

If Leaving Outside:

Step 2: Repeat the above procedure in 48 hours.

• Sandingisnotrequiredbetweentheseinitialcoats.

• Yourfurnitureisnowprotectedhoweverrepeatapplicationsofthe

hardwoodtimberoilmayberequiredevery3months.

• Beforere-oilingcheckyourfurnitureforanyresiduebuildup,ifthisoccurs

alightsandingmayberequired.

• Note:Thefrequencyofoilingwillvaryaccordingtotheclimaticconditions

inyourareaanddirectexposuretotheelementstowhichyourfurniture

issubjected.

HELPFUL HINTS IfAcaciaisneglected,withprolongedunprotectedexposuretotheelements,

thiswillcause:

• Thetimbertodiscolourtoasilverygrey,and/orhairlinecracksmayappear.

• Ifintheeventyoursettingdoesdiscolour,torestorethetimbersandingand

oilingwillberequired.

• Werecommendthefurniturebestoredundercoverduringwintertimeandthe

wetseason.

• Wettimbermustbedriedfor3-5daysbeforeoiling.Donotoilthefurniturelate

inthedaywhendeworcondensationislikelytoformorwhenrain

isthreatening.

• Alltimberfurnituregoesthroughasettlinginperiod,wherefastenersmustbe

tightenedregularly.donotleavefastenersuntightened,thiscouldcause

furnituredamage.

Uponpurchasingyourfurniture,evenwithkilndriedwood,smallhairlinecracksmay

appear.Thisispartofthedryingprocessofthisparticulartimberspecies.Thesecracks

willnotcompromisethedurabilityofthefurniture.3%shrinkagemayoccurinthis

speciesoftimber.
