Genarals about the Indian pythonThe Indian pythons live in a jungle in India that is called the Python jungle. It is called the Python jungle because the jungle is full with different Indian pythons. Indian pythons are a kind of reptiles, they are in the same group as the crocodiles, turtles, lizards, alligators etc. The Indian pythons were put on the endangered animal list on the 14th of June 1976.

In the nineteens, there were 1,000 to

10,000 Indian pythons in the world,

but the amount is getting lesser and lesser,

there are only 500 to 1,000 left in the world

right now- this minute!!!

Habitat loss- how we impact on themThe habitats of all the Indian pythons are very soon going to dissapear because of all the thing we have done to them. We impact on them by: Cutting down the trees in the jungle where they live to make

lumber, firewood and other things Use their skin to make snake- skin accessories Kill them because we think they are dangerous Force them to work in the pet trades and in the zoos to entertain

visitors...........How bad??!!!

Characteristics- how they look likeThe Indian pythons looks like they are very dangerous and always in a bad mood. They have medium sized eyes and a letter”V” abouve their nostrils, on their head. They all come in different sizes and colour. They usually have “camouflage” colours, those colours are:

Light brown and dark brown + middle- coloured brown,

black and really dark black, yellow and cream + off-white in colour.

what is being done to save them?

Few helpful indians help save the

Indian pythons by recycling

alot of paper so that humans

won’t cut anymore trees from the

jungles in India where the Indian

pythons live in. They also

build a charity to So that they

would have enough money to

build a house for the poor

Indian pythons to live in- too!

What is gonna’ happen if we don’t save them?Infering:

I think if we don’t save them, they will soon go extinct, they will go extinct because of all the bad things we have done to them. Would you want them to be extinct this fast- “swoop??!!” If they are lucky enough not to die, I guess they just got a desease that can’t be recovered, and if a hunter comes by and shoots that particular python( which caught the desease) dead, brought it home to share with the family to eat, they might die too! Wouldn’t they???

More information about itThe worlds' tiniest west Indian snake is the same size as a pencil led! If it eats more, it can grow up to the length of 20 feet/ 6 metres! The king of all the snakes is called King Cobra, the king can kill someone or anything dead in about 15 minutes or less! Pythons drop across

branches to camouflage, they camouflage

themselves to make it easier to find food to eat

without anyone noticing, exept their prey when

they are eaten and in the snakes stomach digesting....He he he! A python can eat a humongous feast and stay the same( what I mean is that, they don't eat for maybe a week or even a year, like fasting.....to us!) They can also lay up to the amount of 100 or even more eggs at a time, it may be the world record of the whole world!!?? In the 19s, there was about 1000 to 10000 Indian pythons in the world, but the amount is getting lesser and lesser, there is only about 500 to 1000 of them in the world right now! How Sad!!!

So what do you think...STOP KILLING THEM, START

SAVING THEM!!!
