Row 3(RS) knit until slipped st, ssk slipped st with next one, k3. Turn. Row 4(WS) purl until slipped st, p2tog slipped st with next one, p3. Turn. Repeat rows 3-4 until 1 st remains unworked on each side. RS row: Sl 1, *yo, k2tog (or ssk)*. Repeat between ** WS row: purl Bind off: loosely using method you prefer, JSSBO or I-cord bind-off methods are recommended. Finishing: weave in yarn ends. Soak shawl in water — adding soap appropriate for fiber for 30 minutes. Rinse. Wrap in towel to blot out water. Lay flat and pin into shape. Leave in place until thoroughly dry. Trim yarn ends.
