AJAIB'S GRACE INDIA GROUPS(Updated Sept /03)

This Information Letter is for all those who have the rare privilege and grace to travel in the groups to see Sant Sadhu Ram Ji in New Delhi, India.

"My Great Satguru Sant Ajaib Singh Ji used to say that one should consider oneself to be extremely fortunate, if one gets the opportunity to participate in a program of meditation, Satsang, and singing the greatness and glory of the Beloved Satguru anywhere in the world. This opportunity of being together for these few days, in His Divine remembrance, is therefore not only very valuable, but is also God Sent, and should be made full use of.

Let each one of us utilize every single bit of the time available here to our own best advantage, forgetting the world and worldliness. There is all and every hope that seeing our urge and keenness, Satguru Ajaib will have mercy upon us, come to our rescue and help us achieve our objective of progressing in the inner Path. As a brother in faith, my good wishes are there with each one of you, dear ones, for any help, assistance and guidance, which you may need in the matter of meditation. I am your full time and humble sevadar with no wage or esteem whatsoever." Sant Sadhu Ram Ji

"All of you dear ones are welcome in this program from the depths of my heart. I realize and appreciate the efforts that you have made and the difficulties that you have faced in reaching here, very far from your hearths and homes.

This is the work of my Beloved Satguru, Sant Ajaib Singh Ji Maharaj. I am nothing but a puppet in His Hands and

would just do what he bids me to do. As you know he was the manifestation of Sat Purush and had assumed a human body, which is invariably a place of suffering, only for our sake. His Great and Gracious guru, Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, had told Him lovingly that there were many people who could explain the theory beautifully in flowery words, but having no inner ascent and achievement to their credit, and not having realized God nor even the self, they themselves were in darkness and also led others into the ditch of ignorance. He had therefore advised His Gurumukh Son, beloved Sant Ji, to ensure that this sacred and inner Path of God-Realization-namely, of meditation, sacrifice, and surrender-should always remain open for those sincere and seeking souls who are fed up with the world and worldliness and want to be rid of them so they can meet God.

My merciful Guru, Beloved Sant Ji, also told me forcefully, despite my humble protest: "I have made you do the Simran and Meditation like a brave warrior and have made you My Own Self. Now it is your duty to connect the souls who are dissatisfied with the world, its affairs and attachments and who want to meet God sincerely, by persuading them to extricate themselves gradually from the ever rising sweep of passions and possessions, me and mine, pride and prejudice, and name and fame, and to meditate with the technique in which I have made you perfect. This will enable them to progress inwardly, and traveling up plane by plane, with their own sustained efforts and with the unbounded grace of the Guru, they will reach their eternal home in due course of time." Sant Sadhu Ram Ji

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOURNEY

The retreats in India are held in the divine remembrance of Beloved Sant Ji (Sant Ajaib Singh Ji) under the direct, personal guidance of Sant Sadhu Ram Ji. The retreats are purely spiritual in nature and all who attend are expected to participate fully in the appropriate (prescribed) way. The purpose for which the Master travels so far and spends so much of His

personal time holding these programs is so that those who attend may advance bountifully in their meditation, and improve in every aspect of life by attending Satsang and having the Darshan of a Living Saint.

In order to gain the full benefit of this rare privilege and opportunity, all who attend must participate fully as He wishes and advises (prescribes). We are requested to come with one and only one purpose exclusively in our hearts and mind, and not to mix in any other activity during this holy trip. Sant Ji had said that if we come on this trip only for the spiritual purpose, and by doing His darshan and only his darshan, that by His grace, we will cut many of the sins and bad karmas weighing us down, and will get a renewed and fresh start in life.

He said that by coming for meditation and putting all our heart, soul, and attention into the meditation, we will gain more concentration which will vastly help us to further progress in meditation and allow us to improve every other aspect of our life. He placed very great emphasis on remaining at the program place for the entire stay, without going out for any reason. He has said that if we go out for shopping, sightseeing, socializing or any other purpose, or send any one else out for us, we lose the concentration and spiritual benefits we are gaining from the repeated meditation sittings and the cumulative effects of the Satsang and Darshan.

This may also adversely affect the other dear ones who are attentively and devotedly remaining in the program and following the schedule. Sant Ji had said that while we are here for only a very few days, and as we do not get this opportunity very easily nor very often, it should not be that difficult to give up our old ways and habits for a short while, in order to gain something much higher and very beneficial for us. He said that by attending this program in its full and correct manner, we are taking a big step forward on the Holy path of Spirituality, but that our mind does not want us to have this, so it will try its best to prevent us or take it away from us. He said we should be strong, and maintain whatever we are given during this program, and for that, we must focus all our attention and commit our selves entirely to the mediation, Satsang and darshan during these few days. He also said that if we go around outside during the program and do any other thing, any worldly thing, like shopping, sightseeing, etc., during this program, that we may lose the entire benefit of the entire time we have spent in the company of a Saint.

The program place is very pure and holy and it is the responsibility of everyone attending the program to maintain the love filled sweetness and sanctity of the environment. We each should try ones best to add to that by

2

Page 3: India Groups

doing the program wholeheartedly, and not in any way bring in the world or worldliness from outside. The program is held in the city, yet almost everyone who has attended has found the environment to be like an enchanted heaven of seclusion. By staying at the program place for the entire time, it becomes like a secluded place for those few days, where the world and worldliness get lost from ones heart and mind. If anyone goes out to the markets and shops, or for anything else other than the specific purpose of the program, etc., the world and worldliness quickly finds a place in that heart, causing a loss to them and others as well. Maharaj Kirpal Singh Ji had said that seclusion is half of meditation, and that seclusion along with concentration, are two of the greatest helping factors for the spiritual aspirants. The program is conducted so as to provide a wealth of both, for those who follow it carefully. Sant Ji repeatedly and emphatically asked all His dear children to respect His words more than His body, which He said is the real way to love and respect the Guru, and remain truly near to Him. Shri Baba Somanath Ji has said that this precious time is given to us for raising our consciousness higher, if we lose it over trinkets and useless things of the world it is our foolishness.

Springtime is upon us now. A fragrant Saint has come forth carrying baskets full of His Own Beloved Satguru and a huge treasury of Naam. He has come now to give it freely to the dry and weary hearts of the beloved sangat, and to bring forth greater effort and achievement in mediation for each and every dear one. After a long, painful and difficult period of darkness and confusion during the physical absence of the Master; a warm and soothing Sun of spirituality has again risen to shine upon the beloved sangat, born from the Light, Love and Mercy of Satguru. The Gracious Masters have once again granted this most rare, high and holy boon, the gift of a lovely Mahatma-Fakir, who wishes more than anything and fully intends to bring us to the Feet of our Guru within, and cause us to earn the True wealth of Naam. To be in His company, sight, care and aura wholeheartedly and single mindedly for this short time should be more than enough for us. A separate Information sheet "On VISITING INDIA: PURPOSE OF THE JOURNEY" by Satguru Sant Ajaib Singh Ji has been E-mailed to every participant. Please read it thoughtfully and thoroughly before coming on the trip).

2. MASTERS MESSAGE

Sant Sadhu Ram Ji has advised all the dear Satsangii brothers and sisters who attend the meditation programs to carefully and thoroughly follow the advice and wishes of His great Guru, Sant Ajaib Singh Ji, regarding the

coming to India for a meditation retreat. He has said that all foreigners who attend these retreats shall attend the program exclusively for gaining in meditation, attending Satsang and having darshan. All shall remain at the program place for the entire duration of their stay in India, follow the program schedule, remain in the discipline, have one and only one purpose in coming and not mix in any other activities during their Holy trip, so as to please Sant Ji and take maximum advantage of this rare opportunity

"Maulana Rumi has said that to be fortunate enough to have the company of a God-in-man for twenty minutes will give you more benefit than dedicating one hundred years of full devotion to the Lord, sincerely and without show." Sant Kirpal Singh Ji

3. ON VISITING INDIA

"I would like to welcome all the dear ones who have come here to attend the program, all the parents who have brought their children, I am very pleased to see all of you and once again I welcome you. You know that all of you have come here for the special purpose of doing meditation. You have left your homes and businesses over there, and you have come here for doing meditation. So while you are here you should do as much meditation as possible and remain in the discipline. Because you know that even though we have come here our mind has not left us. Our mind is within us, and it is its duty to check all the souls and to prevent them from doing the meditation. So he will try his level best to keep us away from the meditation. We should be strong and we should always remember the purpose for which we have come here. You know that usually I advise the dear ones that while we have come here for a short period, you should concentrate more on meditation and Simran.

There are many beautiful cities and many bigger cities in your country and you can go for sightseeing and things like that in your country also. So while you are here you should not waste any time for going sightseeing or for shopping, or for doing the worldly things. While you are here you should concentrate on the meditation, the Bhajan and Simran, as much as possible, so that you

3

Page 4: India Groups

may benefit from this trip. We have done a lot of shopping in our life, and we have done so many businesses in our life. Now we should do the business for which we have come here and that is the merchandise of Naam, the work of earning the fruit of Naam. We should from the depth of our heart have the yearning to collect the wealth of Naam as much as possible, and for that we should concentrate more on doing the meditation. So I hope that all the dear ones will listen to my request, and you will put in more time in your meditation, and will not waste any time in the useless things." Sant Ajaib Singh Ji Maharaj

4. PREPARATION

Sant Sadhu Ram Ji has requested and advised all His Esteemed Satsangii Dear Ones to prepare for this Holy trip as per the advice and instructions of His Great Satguru Sant Ajaib Singh Ji by doing much Simran and Meditation, as well as Satsang and pure living, at home before coming on the trip so as to take complete and full advantage of the precious time spent in the company of a Saint or Sadhu. Sant Ji had said that the more receptivity that is developed, the more of His Grace, Mercy and Blessings shall surely be forthcoming to each and every dear one. That if we come after gaining receptivity, these precious days can change our life and can become the most remarkable days of our life, so to please come after gaining some receptivity. He also requested that we should not borrow money to make the trip, but should come on our own earnings after doing some honest job to get the money.

The book, The Ambrosial Hour was specially prepared with the guidance and Grace of Satguru Sant Ajaib Singh Ji to help dear ones prepare for and take maximum advantage of such programs and to inspire and encourage meditation.

Also, several beautiful new magazines are available which contains talks, Satsangs, articles, photos, etc., of Shri Sadhu Ram Ji, and the earlier Masters. These magazines are a must in helping us be well prepared for the programs in India. To subscribe, please contact:

6. ACCOMMODATIONS

The entire Program is held at the home of a loving and devoted Satsangii family, who have been given the seva by Sant Sadhu Ram Ji of making all the arrangements. Everyone will have adequate accommodations during the program. The guests are requested not to offer any kind of gift, donation or offering to the family, as they are doing this as their seva and devotion to the Master. Sant Ji Sadhu Ram has said that it is Satguru Ajaib who is taking care of everything and there is no need for anyone to donate or contribute. Instead, He asks everyone to utilize every single moment of this opportunity to do maximum Simran, Bhajan, Satsang, and singing the Glories of the Masters. He said that Those who will follow this, will gain pleasure of Satguru Ajaib and He will fulfill their purpose in coming. He also said that whatever we can do to make the other guests feel comfortable, happy and accepted we may happily do that, which will please Satguru Ajaib residing within Him.

As the numbers of people desiring to attend these programs is growing rapidly, the space per person is minimal at the hall, but is adequate for our needs. Sadhu Ram Ji was asked if some people could be accommodated at nearby homes, etc., and He replied as follows:

"No...All Westerners should stay at one place to enable them to devote maximum time towards meditation. They will benefit more if they meditate together. They would not mind some discomfort and inconvenience for their spiritual benefit. I will also visit them occasionally, to inspire and encourage them. The main purpose of their coming here is spiritual, as they have enough comforts,

5

Page 6: India Groups

much more then we have here, in their homes, so do your best to make them comfortable, and leave the rest to my Sat Guru Sant Ajaib Singh Ji Maharaj, who will take care of every thing else."

7. SCHEDULE

All dear ones are requested to follow the daily schedule and participate in all events. Sant Sadhu Ram Ji has instructed and insists that all dear ones arise for meditation before 3 AM, and sit together in the hall for mediation rather than in their rooms. The rest of the schedule will be announced daily at the program.

8. PRIVATE INTERVIEWS

Sant Sadhu Ram Ji has requested that only questions about meditation, or stories of the love and glory of Satguru be discussed in the interviews. All dear ones are requested to have any question written in English before coming in the interview.

"Dear ones, I know that most of you are keen and anxious to meet me. May I tell you that I too have a strong and surging desire to meet each one of you for two main reasons: first, to be able to see the spectacle of my Great Guru manifest inside each one of you in various hues and colors, and second, to inquire about your spiritual well being-about which beloved Sant Ji is immensely worried, wishing it to improve sooner rather than later- and to offer my humble assistance and help to those who have any problem whatsoever on this account. In this way our hearts, dry and dreary as they have become, may be refreshed and re-greened with the spiritual water of Satsang, and we may be inspired to take to Simran and meditation with renewed zeal and enthusiasm to register inner progress and development.

Esteemed brothers and sisters, this is the main purpose for which I have traveled such a long distance and come here. I am a poor man and to remain away from my work by which I earn my living is not easy. But it is the grace and kindness of Beloved Sant Ji which has brought me

here amidst all of you, His spiritual children, for the benefit and upliftment of your souls.

So, dear ones, don't hesitate, don't keep thinking. Come with as open a heart as you can, and with as clean and clear a mind as you can make it, and avail yourselves of my sincere and selfless service and seva. I hope that you understand why I am pressing you to come forward with your problems and difficulties about meditation, for if these are removed with my help and seva, then you will be encouraged to devote more time towards Simran and meditation; and the more time you will give, with no hurdles and hardships in between, the more you will progress, and the more will be the pleasure of my Guru. After all, what is the highest thing we all wish for on this Path? The happiness, acceptance and pleasure of Sant Ji. And if we achieve that by doing the meditation, correctly and constantly, then what further remains to be done? Our purpose of life stands fulfilled.

I therefore beg of you, my dear bretheren-in-faith, to get your problems in meditation solved and to focus whole heatedly and single-mindedly on meditation. I am always the cleaner of the shoes of the esteemed Sadh Sangat and their full time server and servant, with no wage or esteem whatsoever. Sant Sadhu Ram Ji

14. HEALTH CARE SUGGESTIONS

1. Do Constant Simran: Simran is the best remedy for all ills of the body and mind.

2. Follow the Schedule and get enough rest.3. Wash hands after using Latrines and before meals.4. Eat Lightly: Overeating causes great stress to the body, especially when

traveling and in unfamiliar environments.5. Keep Rooms Clean and Tidy: No food or drink in rooms.6. Please do not go to the shops and Market Places. Whatever you may

bring back from there can disturb the other people.7. Please eat and drink only in the langar. Bringing fruits and snacks from

outside can cause health disturbances which spread to others also.8. Bathe regularly. This is important in the hot weather and when in close

proximity with many people.9. Be sure to drink enough water, especially in the hot weather. Becoming

dehydrated leads to many ailments.10. Rest after the mid day meal.11. If feeling ill, take rest and seek Doctors advice.12. Bring any medications etc. that you normally require for treatment of

ongoing health issues.
