Sanders and Smith Property is located to the west, along with Southern Railway Property. Wadsworth and Pegram property is located to the northeast. Charlotte Electric Railway is drawn going down Brevard St. The paper map is in good condition with wrinkles in one corner and dark stains in border area. Scale 1” = 40 feet.

He also owns the lot between the hotel and his residence. Sou. (sic) Real Estate Loan & Trust owns the lot the hotel is on and a small one behind it. This blueprint is faded in spots but otherwise good condition. Scale 20 feet = 1 inch.

Cherry was where many of the servants of Myers Park lived and John Springs Myers was the first to give school and park sites to the Cherry community. This map was made in 1912 at the beginning of this development. Blueprint map has missing pieces (original has not been found) Scale 1” = 100’

1934.02.23 19 x 24 This positive blueprint is an official document deeding two tracts to the city for street improvements for Anderson & Academy St. This map is showing where Creosote Rd turns into and forks into Academy St. & Anderson Street. The right side of the map is the drawing that includes Southern RR along the north and Spencer St. along the south and the right side is the legal information pertaining to the dedication. Very faded.

1934.03 18 x 96 This 8 foot linen map shows the water and power lines from Davidson Creek to Walton Street in downtown Davidson, a distance of over 3 miles! The lines follow Jetton St west out of Davidson across the Jetton property, then Mrs. RW Shelton, JG Gamble Estate, across Duke Power (Perry Torrance) west to more Duke Power (JB Cornelius). At the Gamble Property the lines cross two roads, passing near a residence. Further west is another residence before it crosses a County Hwy. then a fairly large branch before reaching the W & V Walley property line. Here it passes a small creek before crossing over J. Potts land before ending at the Creek. Excellent condition. Scale 1” = 200

A road separates another 3.53 acres apparently owned by the City. JL Sloan Estate is to the north, Blackwelder and AB Williams to the east. AB Williams also owns the land to the west. Scale 1” = 50’

The maps shows the 3 story brick Kress store and the 4 story brick Grant’s (with a Darling Shop). McLellan is located next to Kress. The Independence Building borders Grant’s. Next to the Independence Building bordering Grants is (along Trade St) Ed Mellon Co. and Roskind’s. S&W Cafeteria is located behind both stores. Utilities are noted throughout. Good condition. Scale 1 inch 10 feet.

Daniels J W Daniels 1904.09.22 16 x 18.5 Beautiful linen map in great condition shows 232 acres bisected by a creek. A road runs along the west and the north of the property which is bordered by WE Johnson. North of this is FG Johnson’s land and across creek is WH Johnson’s Land. Mellon Land is east of that. To the east of Daniel’s land is Henry Johnson and to the south, WH Johnson with Alford Fisher land to the southern border. JD Brown’s land borders the south. SH Bradley borders the southwest. A notion states “The above plat is a copy of a survey made by the undersigned Apr. 27. 1898. The object of this survey is to show the proper location of creek and the numbers of acres on either side.” Scale of poles = 40 / inch.

Davenport W W Davenport Estate 1935.08 15 x 14 Drawn on tracing paper which has turn brown with age is located in the Berryhill Township and shows 67.46 acres located along Walkers Ferry Road (Sandclay). A small lake is noted on the southern end of the property. It is bordered on the west by RW Davenport, Martha Cathey to the north, Friendship Baptist Church to the west then across the road the Robinson Property. JK Wolf property is to the south along with another parcel belonging to RW Davenport. TM Dilling owns a small piece near the lake on the southwest side. Very old piece of scotch tape runs 5 inches. Scale 1” = 200.

WS Alexander borders the land on the west and R (Rufus?) Barringer owns the land to the north. Stuart Property south along RR tracks & the Peeler Property is located along the southeast. Beautiful map in great condition with lots of notes “located about 2 ½ miles northwest of Charlotte”. Scale 1 inch 200 feet.

Boulware also has a large lot located across a “Well lot” and “Open Space” lot. The Bender lot is located across Peeler St with a church lot behind that. Map is in excellent condition. This map, one year before construction of the house, shows the original property of 120 acres and the purchase of the tract to the north of 23 acres from Heckenbleikner, 18 acres from Jackson, and 85 acres from Tate for a total of over 261.222 acres. Sharon Road forms the eastern border of the property. The original tract shows a greenhouse and the gardener’s resident. On the Jackson tract is noted a farmhouse. Scale 1 inch = 200 feet.
