Most people just rely on the GPS in their car or their Smartphones to get them to their destination. But since we have been updating the maps section of our website, we’ve noticed that people still like to see maps; our Scenic Byway maps are living proof of this. Much like all the extra work we’ve done with Facebook, our monthly E-News, and increasing trade show presence, our maps are another way we promote you. The Scenic Byway Maps are by far the most popular maps on our website: page views for these maps have gone up tremendously since we started renovating them, an E-News about a new Scenic Byway map will get opened and clicked on more than other E-News topics, a Facebook post about a new map will get more Likes, Comments, and Shares than almost any other post. 5 Colorado tourism partners have contacted us within the past year about using our maps in their tourism magazines/brochures, check- in offices, conferences, and travel kiosks. Our name is getting out into the vacationing public more often via different vacationing outlets and attracting families who want to plan their Colorado vacation. What does this mean for you? All of our published maps are equipped with the text “Brought To You by The Colorado Vacation Directory Inc.”, the URL of that specific map, and our homepage URL. If you have purchased the Banner on a map page, your Business name, phone number, and location are directly promoted as we mandate the use of the map as we provide it. When people see our maps, they become inspired by our visual story of a Colorado vacation they will have, they’ll want to plan their vacation through us, and will find your business for their accommodation and exploration experience. Vacationers will think about, dream of, plan, anticipate, and arrive at their destination; The Colorado Vacation Directory is the first 3 steps of this process. We create unique content that establishes credibility, trust, and familiarity with the vacationers so they can prepare their vacation plans. We don’t want to be the YellowPages (name, link, phone number); we want to be the enticing literature you put on your coffee table to attract visitors. “Thanks for…always looking out for our businesses, Michelle, I was just telling Ryan (owner) how great you are to work with. And that you are up-selling to us in a thoughtful way - that will really help our businesses get the most out of your site. I deal with a lot of advertisers

that are not so smart. Once I sign the contract, they disappear and I have to do a lot of the leg work myself. If they just told me what to do on their site, it would be much easier for both of us! Anyway, just wanted you to

know that I really appreciate what you do.”- Lisa Havlik
