News Ahhhh, summer! I wait for it all year! I’m originallyfromSouthernCaliforniaandspentsummersatthebeachinSanDiego.NowthatI live in Boulder, I have to get my water-fix at aswimmingpool. One of the first things I look for when planningmysummervacationisaplacewithapoolwhereIcanloungeandsoakupthesun

quantities. But what are the rules and specific guidelinestothisnewlawandwhatdoesitmeanforthosevisitingorlivinginColorado?

What Now?

Basic Rules: •Youmustbeatleast21yearsofageandbeabletoprovide identification (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)

•Yourhomestatedeterminestheamountofmarijuanayouare allowedtobuyatanyonetime.Forexample,Colorado residentsmaypossessasmuchas1-ounce,whileother vacationersfromdifferentstatesmayonlypossess7grams

•Marijuanamaybe“donated”toanotherpersonaslongas theyareabovetheageof21andnocompensationis exchangedforthetransaction

•AllmarijuanamustleavetheDispensaryinanopaque, childproofcontainerandisnotallowedtoleavethestate of Colorado under any circumstances!

•AmotoristinColoradocanbeticketedforimpaireddrivingif theirbloodshowsmorethan5nanogramsofactiveTHC. Unlikealcohol,thereisnogeneralconsensusontheamount ofmarijuanatoTHCbloodlevels,sowewouldrecommend notdrivingafterpartaking

According to a Campfire Canvass survey, 66% of RV ownersintendtousetheirRVsmorethissummerthantheydidlast year. Fuel prices continue to fluctuate and family schedules seemtobegettingtighter;sowhatiscausingfamiliestotravelintheir RVs more in 2014 than 2013? Traveling via RV gives more freedom and flexibility to families;they’renotrestrictedtoatimeframeandtheycanbringmorethingsontheirvacationi.e.petsandextraclothing. Admittedly,RVownersaremorephysicallyactivewhileusingtheirRVforvacation.Theyareabletobecomeimmersedintheoutdoors,thefoundationforenjoyingandappreciatingnature. Holdthiseventinanopenareawhereguestswillwanttominglewhileeating.Youcanchargeafewdollarsforentry;themostmoneywe’veheardofbusinesseschargingis$5.Someoftheitemsyou’llwanttohavestockedinyourstore.

Ice Cream Social:1 or 2 flavors of ice creamToppings (chocolate syrup, sprinkles, coconut flakes, nuts, etc.) Yourguestsshouldbringtheirownbowlandspoon(thatwaythey get to choose their own serving size) and you should have a fewtoppingsavailableforthemtospruceuptheirdish.

Campfire Pizza:Pizza dough (Pillsbury and Boboli are good to have on hand)PizzasauceCheeseTinfoilOlive OilLeftovers from previous meals (onions, vegetables, meat, etc.) Youprovidethedough,sauce,andcheeseandyourguestswillbeabletobuildtheirownpizzawiththeirleftovers;iftheydon’tbringanythingwiththem,they’llhavejustaplaincheesepizza.Rolloutthedoughwitharollingpin(ifyoudon’thaveone, a water bottle works great). Clean the rack, coat it in olive oil,placethedoughontop.Cookthedoughabout5minutesuntilthebottomiscrispy.Flipthedoughandstartpilingonthetoppings:sauce,cheese,meat,veggies,cheese(themeatmustbecooked before putting it on the pizza). Cover with tinfoil to make sure the cheese on top melts before the crust burns. Once the crustiscrispyandthecheeseismelty,yourmealisdone.
