Feasibility Studies and Business Plans:developing market research that identies targeted populations and their healthcare needs,planning services (type and capacity) that need to be provided by the healthcare facility, and determining the projects nancialviability.

Planning and Design:developing functionality space programs is the backbone of facility planning and architectural design ofhealthcare facilities, based on local and international regulations, and in alignment with international clinical and patient safetystandards and guidelines.

Clinical and Equipment Planning:planning, budgeting, and procuring the latest equipment that should be available at a healthcarefacility, and developing room data sheets detailing all required equipment, furniture, and xtures.

IHCM is involved in the planning, design, and supervision of healthcareprojects that cover primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of healthservices, both locally and regionally.

i. Al Jalila Childrens Specialty Hospital UAEIHCM is involved in the planning, design, supervision, and commissionof Al Jalila Childrens Specialty Hospital, the countrys rst hospitaldedicated to pediatric care with 200 beds of which a fth will be forpatients in the intensive-care unit. The AED700 million-hospital will alsoinclude 6 dialysis facilities, 20 healing gardens, 12 training rooms, 8operating theatres, and 30 departments, thus providing all necessarypediatric services under one roof for the children of the UAE and theregion. With the elapse of 50% of the project time, more than 84% ofthe concrete work, 95% of steel fabrication, and 72% of steel installationhas been completed up to the end of October 2012. Al Jalila ChildrensSpecialty Hospital in Dubai will be operational by December 2nd, 2013.

ii. Sharjah Trauma Hospital UAE

IHCM is involved in the planning, design, supervision, and commissionof Sharjah Trauma Hospital which is an initiative of the Ministry ofPublic Works in the UAE. Being the rst hospital of its kind in Sharjahand the Northern Emirates, the 175-bed hospital will include 30 bedsdedicated to Surgical and Medical Intensive Care Cases, 8 state ofthe art operating theatres, an emergency department, rehabilitationdepartment, and a teaching center. Sharjah Trauma Hospital is

currently in its planning and design phase.

iii. Dubai Diabetes Center UAE

IHCM participated in the planning, design, supervision, and commissionof Dubai Diabetes Center for the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Thestate-of-the-art diabetes management and care center is located inDubai to provide the most comprehensive care for diabetic patients.

The design of the center caters to both adults and children througha child-friendly environment where children have a dedicated playand educational area to strengthen their experience in a friendly andcomfortable environment.

iv. Kuwait Police Hospital Kuwait

IHCM participated in conducting a feasibility study, clinical planning,space program, and staff planning for a 500-bed hospital for the PoliceForce Ministry of Interior of Kuwait. It encompasses a complete rangeof Diagnostic and Treatment (D&T) Facilities such as: the Imaging andRadiology Department, Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Laboratory andPathology to be equipped with the most advanced equipments andstate of the art latest technology.

v. Al Amiri Hospital Kuwait

IHCM is involved in the design, construction, equipment, furnishing,commission, and maintenance of Al Amiri Hospital, which is amongthe very rst Secondary Care Multi-specialty General Hospitals in theState of Kuwait. The 450-bed hospital expansion with a Consortium forthe Ministry of Health will cover the addition of services and capacity,relocation of services that are currently present in the existing facility,and the renovation of areas within the existing facility. Accordingly, the

expansion will house 12 new inpatient units with a total bed capacity of381 beds inclusive of an ICU and a CCU.

vi. Yas Comprehensive Medical Community (YCMC) - UAE

IHCM is instrumental in the planning and development of YCMC thatcomes in line with the vision set by the leaders of the UAE in general,and the leadership of Abu Dhabi in particular. The Board of Directorsof YCMC envision realizing a private, for prot, medical community,which along the scope of services it provides, becomes the providerof choice for its target markets and a true alternative to overseas

treatment. Planned to be realized in phases, and in addition to thehealthcare cluster, the development envisions a hospitality cluster, ahousing cluster, as well as a wellness cluster.

vii. Fatimah and Zanan Hospitals Iran

IHCM was tasked by reviewing the clinical program and the design of the Fatimah and Zanan Hospital as part of the assignmentwith MOHEB Medical Institute. The clinical aspect of the project covered the analysis of health and medical needs, and the analysisand design of hospital management systems, and the ow of patients, visitors, physicians, and logistics. As for the design aspect, itincluded the development of a space program, a new concept architectural design, detailed and interior design, and MEP works.

viii. Middle East Investment Bank - Iraq

IHCM completed the task for developing a Demand Assessment and Analysis Study, Master Plan and Feasibility Study for a 400bed specialized hospital in each of Erbil and Sulaimani Governorates, and a 200 bed Maternity and Pediatric hospital in DohukGovernorate. This was in coordination with the Foundational Committees for Establishing Companies and Iraqi Middle EastInvestment Bank (IMEIB) as the investor. IHCM supported IMEIB in the assessment of the potential designer, and was also tasked inreviewing the architectural work during the design phases of the project.

Recruitment of Physicians: Acting as a support service for INDEX Medical Center, the Health Services segment ensures therecruitment of competent specialty physicians to provide the best medical care for the community.

Medical Licensing:Coordinating with the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) as a health regulatory entity responsible for licensing

physicians, the Health Services segment arranges for providing physicians of INDEX Medical Centerwith medical licensure topractice within DHCC.

Arrangement of Visiting Specialists Program:The Health Services segment arranges for international physicians and specialiststo visit INDEX Medical Centeron periodic basis, thus offering patients a wider range of expertise and medical opinions, andadvanced treatment modalities.
