Peoples’ outlook towards persons with Learning
Disability.19th September to 25th September 2010
FEELWe had to go through HUMILIATION,
discrimination, PREJUDICE, LONELINESS while trying to deal with our own
DIFFICULTIES.It is an attempt by us to spread awareness
about LD and share our experience. So that another child will not
have to go through what we had to.
IMAGINEHow to reach across to
people?•We needed to know how we feel?•Read about Learning Disability to understand why we are different?•Decided to go and meet different
people and tell them about LD and share our experience -Children, parents, teachers,
people around us.•Use Internet to spread the
message.

These feedbacks are a source of encouragement for us: TEACHERS
Parents and Youngsters:
HOW DID WE GET CHANGED?• All the discussions and sharing of experiences
helped us to understand our self better.• It gave us an insight to tackle our own issues in a
better manner.• Talking about our experiences helped us to get over
negative feelings. It made us feel relaxed and confident. We got rid of old baggage.
• The responses especially from teachers and parents of children with special needs gave us a sense of satisfaction. It gives us hope that young children with special needs will get support and help from parents and teachers.
