Identified Issues/ Needs• We feel that pupils of the village are not aware about Health &

Hygiene.• They do not Wash their hands properly any time.• We think for start campaign to promote hand washing practice

habit among children in our school as well as in the village.• Without Washing your hands is the invitation to germs for

spreading.• It's easy for a germ on your hand to end up in your mouth. • So more children are caught from different deceases and long

absentees from school also.

Current Situation

• There were only 15% children in the age group of 3-14 , which were using hand washing practice in the village.

Why do you need to wash your hands

• When your hands are dirty. • Before eating or touching food (like if you're helping

cook or bake). • After using the washroom • After blowing your nose or coughing. • After touching pets or other animals. • After playing outside. • Before and after visiting a sick relative or friend.

Activities Undertaken • Selection of Idea.• Preparation of material for the campaign. • School level demonstration by teachers and then by students of

4th.& 5th. Class. • Awareness campaign about the importance of hand washing

practice on health point of view.• Demonstration of hand washing method. at school Level. at community Level.• House visits.• Interaction with parents & community persons.

• 65% children in the village & 100% children in the school started practice of proper hand washing method.

• Over all participation of Student + Community + Staff = Total 50 + 110 + 7 = 167 .• Certificate for appreciation to pupils.• Quotes from Parents.• Appreciation letter from Panchayat.
