Assessment

To help you in deciding which sessions to choose, it may be appropriate to invite all participants to undertake a psychometric assessment: an accurate and objective way to measure competence in the work place.

The Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue) has been developed by Dr K V Petrides and Professor Adrian Furnham – both of University College London.

An emotional intelligence assessment can help participants manage their people better, equip individuals with the skills to be more successful, facilitate more productive teams and enable better communication throughout the organisation. Research suggests that emotional intelligence accounts for as much as 31% of success in management contexts. The questionnaire comprises 153 questions ranked through seven options from 'completely agree' to 'completely disagree'. It takes 15-20 minutes to complete. There are no right or wrong answers, no bad scores, simply facets of emotion.

The analysis of results from the above assessments support session choices and tailoring recommendations as well as helping to decide how much time to allocate to which sessions.

Methodology

Designed to accelerate leadership performance, business Psychology: • Equips participants with ‘know-how’ through Professor Furnham sharing his knowledge, insights and up-to-

date research findings

• Enables participants to embrace ideas, concepts and methods presented through discussions, activities, undertaking tests anonymously, interacting with Professor Furnham and working closely with your fellow participants

• Empowers participants to resolve business challenges and, vitally, add value to your organisation’s most important asset - your people

The Programme follows an interactive, experiential format as opposed to a listening-only format, as in many events, where a series of speakers present in ‘procession’ mode. This interactive format adds a dynamic dimension to the learning experience, inspiring participants to make immediate improvements in their organisation. Here's a cross-section of what participants have said about their business Psychology experience. "...the use of real and practical business examples..." Director of Finance "...the enthusiasm of Professor Furnham for his subject..." Chief Executive Officer "...gave structure to prepare for negotiation situations..." Regional Sales & Marketing Manager Above all, business Psychology is lively, upbeat and immensely practical.
