«technical guidance» «sponsor»
• Explore current and emerging scientific theories
• Seek ways to apply scientific theories to Systems Engineering
• Promote the sciences to improve Systems Engineering
• Encourage SIG members to publish theoretical and research papers
• Encourage SIG members to become reviewers of papers submitted for publication
• Publish a group book review on a theoretical concept each year
• Publish a SIG paper each year
• Publish a group review of papers submitted for publication
• As a group participate in the SSE Group activities
SSEG Charter Systems Science: The theoretical foundations of systems engineering, including
system concepts, systems thinking, complexity theory, system dynamics, agent-based modeling, etc. Provides information about emerging knowledge towards improving the practice of systems engineering, and principles and guidelines for better analysis, execution of programs, uncertainty (opportunity as well as risk) management, tool selection, development of systems engineering processes, etc.
