Incisor Spring Newsletter 2016 DTS South West DTS are proud to announce that late last year we partnered with Howlett Dental Laboratory to form DTS South West. We are incredibly excited to work together and bring an incredible skillset to the Exeter area and beyond. Marc Howlett, of Howlett Dental Laboratory, shares the same passion as DTS, which is to provide a personal service to our customers whilst always being at the forefront of new advancements in techniques and technology within the industry. In October 2015 we helf a ‘Meet The Team’ Seminar at Carr’s Ferrari in Exeter to give Dentists and their teams the opportunity to meet the directors, head technicians and our digital experts. We gave presentations and hands on workshops on the following topics; An Overview of Modern Dentistry Today, Taking the Complexity Out of Implant Dentistry, The Essentials for a NHS Practice, Crown & Bridge Modern Case Studies and Oral Scanners - Why, Where and When. of digital dentistry.
I have been working with digital
scanners for almost 20 years and I have always been excited about what the future could bring. The main obstacle has always been that companies creating digital systems tend to forget that these are a tool for making restorations, selling them into the market without a solid list of indications and workflows. This will not give the desired outcome. Only a few have mastered the workflow that changes an oral scanner into an essential piece of equipment for a dental practice. There is a huge lack of good quality advice and education to ensure they deliver to their full potential in a dental practice. With the launch of the TRIOS®3, from world leaders 3Shape, we have a game changer. The scanner is easy to use. It is also full colour, with an HD camera and a shade taking device. With full arch scanning speeds of around 20-30 seconds, it knocks everything else out of the park.
