Hello Folks

The last couple of months have been pretty hectic. I amsure the same must have been the case with you all aswell. It was the last quarter of the financial year. All of

us were busy running around completing our tasks and targetsfor the year.

Inspite of this busy schedule on the work front thecommitment levels of our alumni towards the progress ofINCAS did not deteriorate. This certainly deserves anappreciation. As usual INCAS was buzzing with events atvarious chapters across the country.

The latest one worth mentioning is the INCAS LonavalaSummit 2011 organized in February for the executivecommittee members of various INCAS chapters in the Westernpart of the country. This event is also popularly known as Zonalconference in the alumni circles. The participating chapters inthis summit were Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Pune, Bhopal,Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nasik, and Vadodra.

It was indeed a memorable get-together of the ChapterExecutive Committee members representing various Chapters. It was nice to see all of them at the Lonavla Summit discussingabout their chapter achievements in the last one year andplanning for the road ahead. These Executive committeemembers are the think tank and the driving force behind thechapters.

It's their leadership abilities and motivational skills thatwill fuel a chapters growth and performance.

Through this Summit and also on various other occasionswe have always encouraged our alumni to take up theleadership opportunities available at INCAS and make the bestuse of it to develop your own individual personality. Thatincludes sharpening ones leadership skills, ability to motivateothers, learn multi tasking, organizational skills and muchmore.

We look forward to many such conferences and summits inthe future being organized by various other zones of thecountry. As usual I would suggest you all to play an active rolein every sphere of alumni development. Let's explore new ideasand new possibilities to emerge as a strong alumni body in thecountry called INCAS!

"No idea works unless you work on the idea!"

Good luck and stay in touch!

‘U’to USPlease tell us something about

yourself?

I come from a small family of fivemembers. This includes me, both myparent’s a brother and a sister-in-law.I belong to Rohtak and have done myschooling from Shiksha Bharti School.I completed my graduation in BA fromMDU, Rohtak, and went on to pursuemy PGDBA from INC, Gurgaon. I amemotional as a person and always lookforward to a change or something newin life. I love to interact with peopleand I easily adapt to a change.

How you have built your career

after your PGDBA at INC?

I was pretty excited when I bagged myfirst job at Café Coffee Day after myPGDBA. My brother being my idealsuggested me some Do’s & Don’ts inlife. He inspired me to just believe inmyself and advised me to always givethe best at anything I do. I faced manyproblems initially but everything beganto settle down for good with time. Now Iam running my own IT Company inGurgaon and its called GAP Infotech. My first job was a learning experiencefor me in many ways.

What business are you exactly into

and what are your areas of expertise?

With the guidance of my elder brother,I launched my company in July 2009.We are into Web & Online Marketing. We are coming up with a projectwww.gurgaonindustry.com which willbe catering to the industries ofGurgaon. We also have other goodprojects coming up like a Job Portal forFresher’s. The idea through this portalis to provide job opportunities only tothe fresher’s unlike many other portalswho focus on experienced people. Indiais fast emerging as a country of “youngpeople with enterprising minds”.Hence wee need to support more andmore young people in various ways tocome up in life. We have a matrimonialportal also being launched shortly.

How do you balance your work and

family life?

At times it’s very difficult to balance workand family life. But with my time

management skills I amable to balance both. Imake it a point not todiscuss professionalmatters while I am athome. I spend good timewith my family and learnfrom my parents how tonurture good relationships.

What according to you

is the ‘Success Mantra’

for our life?

Learn as much as youcan, love ever, hurt never.I always emphasizes on‘give respect and takerespect’. I feel that love isthe only thing that canbring a change in thisworld. Always have anopinion about thingsaround you. I reallythank all my facultymembers at INC,Gurgaon who have helpedme in nurturing my self,my special thanks to Dr.Sonali, Mrs. Kanika,Mrs. Manisha, Mrs.Poonam, Mr. Khullar andMr. Rampal. I have learnta lot from them.

What are your career

aspirations?

I wish to be a tycoon in theIT sector. I wish toprovide my customers thebest services through theuse of latest technology.

What would be your

advice to your friends in

general?

Where there is a willthere is a way. I suggesteveryone to watch themovie “3 Idiots” if theyhave still not seen. Onegood thing I picked upfrom that movie andwould like others also topick up is that you mustkeep saying to your heartthat “ALL IS WELL”!

Reminiscences

An opportunity ofbeing a part ofMBA 2009 batch

with a lovely institutionlike INC was a wonderfulexperience for life and itproved to be a very goodexposure for myself. Here, right from the beginningwe were trained to be thefuture managers. The bestpart of the curriculum andthe most effective trainingwe received was in the SoftSkill - Lab.

The campus was filled withbright and passionate MBAaspirants. Facultymembers were veryproficient and ever ready tolend a helping hand. Assuch faculty membersalways used to be busytrying to complete hesyllabus on time by takingextra sessions early in themorning or late in theevening. They would helpmeeting the deadline ofweekly project reports andcase study analysis. Duringthe summer internshipprograms they would helpus in understanding thecompetitiveness of anorganization in the marketplace and in experiencingthe real world of businessthrough various sessionsincluding group discussion, mock interviews and brainstorming session.

As such it will take a lot ofpages if I go down thememory lane in this wayto describe my beautifuldays of our MBA and INC.So summing it up alltogether all I can say isthat it was anunforgettable journey.

I personally feel that INCas a management

institution was really awelcome step in a statelike Gujarat where youwill not find suchinstitutions. The over allresponse was also greatfor seeking admissions inINC. The placementswere also satisfactory forall the batches.

After passing out fromINC, life has changedcompletely. Professionallife has its ownopportunities andchallenges. But as such

I N Ch a dg i v e nus aw o n d e r f u lexperience of aprofessional approach inlife right from thebeginning. It is now easyfor us to face challenges inour real business andprofessional life.

It might sound to you likea case analysis on INC,but the reason for sharingsuch fact is being an INC

alumnus, Icarry a

strong senseof belonging to

INC and reallywant INC to flourish inGUJARAT once again inthe future and top the listof best MBA institutionsin the country in the yearsto come.
