In real magazines, they often use an oversized letter and or a contrast colour for the first letter of the opening paragraph

On the DPS page of my magazine, I have followed the convention by keeping the text to picture ratio to 50:50 because I don’t want to put off my younger audience.

I have not followed the convention of using an oversized letter and or a contrast colour for the first letter of the opening paragraph as I can’t see what it adds to the feature.

However I have used a feminine colour for the female interviewer and a masculine colour for Josh’s answers. I think this also helps the reader to make sense of the article.
