BOCA RESIDENT GIVEN A „MAN CAVE‟
In many social circles, it is common
knowledge that guys need an exclusive
space to hang out in their homes. Enter
Man Caves, a DIY Network produc-
tion that understands there’s an envi-
ronment for every guy that makes him
feel fulfilled. Recently, the Man Caves team including licensed con-
tractor Jason Cameron and former NFL great Tony “The
Goose” Siragusa came to Boca Raton to create a man cave for
one lucky resident in just three days! The episode will air in the fall.
“This family sparked our interest because they
wanted an outdoor cave, something new for our
show. We also came here to be part of the ex-
citement of the Superbowl, and Florida is a
great place to be this time of year,” said
Mike Stafford, Man Caves Executive Pro-
ducer. Man Caves airs Tuesdays at 9/8c. For
more info please visit diynetwork.com.

PBC WELCOMED WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTIONS IN 2009
With events such as BET‟s Spring Bling and four major film festivals including the Palm Beach Interna-
tional Film Festival, Palm Beach County (PBC) continues to attract event based tourism and high-profile
productions. “These kinds of high-end marketing vehicles are the key to drawing new visitors to PBC,”
said Chuck Elderd, PBC Film Commissioner. Another big draw is the new production studio that is being
built at the G-Star School of the Arts in Palm Springs. The new 45ft. high sound stage/theatre is set to
be completed in May 2010 and will be free for filmmakers! The first film to debut at the new G-Star Studio,
will be It’s a Dog Gone Tale: Destiny’s Stand, one of the five feature films that shot in PBC over the
summer of 2009. The other four films, Turkles by Frank Eberling, Criss Cross by Mike Kirton, Chrono-
logical Order by Michael Seminerio and USS Sea Viper by three South Florida production companies,
made PBC sizzle with well-known actors and action packed sequences. Other major productions that shot
in PBC included TV shows such as ABC‟s SuperNanny and Wife Swap, Spike TV‟s Surviving Disaster,
A&E‟s Psychic Investigators, FOX‟s America’s Most Wanted, and NBC‟s The Today Show, commer-
cials for Claritin and MasterCard and still photography shoots for Perry Ellis and Ralph Lauren.
These projects are not only exciting, they also translate into revenue for local hotels and other businesses.
Overall, the amount of projects combined with the area’s warm hospitality proved that PBC will remain a
premiere destination for years to come. For more info call 561.233.1000 or visit pbfilm.com.

4-8, 2010) and are required to ship the movie by the deadline.
The top 12 films (determined by a panel of judges) premiere at

TALENT FEST 365 IS COMING TO PALM BEACH COUNTY
New to South Florida, TalentFest 365 will provide aspiring talent from Miami to Orlando the
unique opportunity to meet, network and learn from top industry professionals. The two day
educational program will take place April 17-18, 2010, will offer expert guidance on the essen-
tial tools needed to gain employment in the entertainment industry. Speakers include Ellen Jacoby, Casting Director, Beverly Blanchette,
Dean of Theatre from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Natalie Kahn Toewe, Boca Talent and Producer Gregory James.
“This is the first time I am doing this style of an event. I thought a program like this would best serve both the talent and the agents that
live here locally. In addition, I wanted to provide guidance and understanding to parents. A lot of companies sell the dream of becom-
ing famous...I think it is better to teach parents and the talent how to pursue the industry by focusing their efforts on proper develop-
ment, building the right credentials and by setting specific goals,” said Producer Gregory James. James also publishes the Model and
Talent Directory, which lists nearly 2,000 agencies from around the world.
On day one, the program will present seminars focused on the best practices, including the interview process with talent
agencies, casting directors and performing arts schools. On day two, participants will have the opportunity to meet with
more than 15 Florida talent agencies and casting directors in a non-competitive atmosphere. Parents and students are
encouraged to attend, and the program is open to talent of all ages. Registration for the program including lunch on Sat-
urday costs $445. For discounts on early registration call 561.279.4685 x102. For more info visit TalentFest365.com.
