Scheels

Muth Electric began working on the 100,000 square foot addition to the existing SCHEELS store in March 2013. The project has an expected completion date of April 2014.

SCHEELS is a retail store that showcases a large selection of sports, sportswear and footwear under one roof. The store will feature brand-name concept shops by Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Colum-bia and The North Face; each shop will be staffed by ex-perts who are passionate about their sports.

Other attractions will include a 45 foot fully operat-ing Ferris Wheel, shooting gallery, bronze statues, and simulators for various sports where customers can test their skills. A deli and fudge shop, Starbucks coffee shop, mini bowling alley, and Buck Hunter simulators are some of the other amenities that will add to the retail experience.

SCHEELS will feature boutiques ranging from techni-cal running gear and fashion

sportswear to hunting and fishing shops. Other shops include golf, bike, ski and sport and game shops. The gun shop will feature the largest retail selection of guns in South Dakota.

done. They have been very accommodating about

having to work around our employees and

customers. I am very pleased the way it is going.”

Spring 2014

At Muth Electric we strive to be the industry leader in safety. Our safety policies are recom-mended and agreed upon by our employees which shows how committed we are to safety. Our policies have evolved to reflect the ever changing culture in the construction industry as in imple-menting our 100% hard hat, safety glasses and gloves policy.

We can show a direct cor-relation in implementing these policies with the reduction in our EMR rate by 10 points. We have also seen a dramatic shift in safety with more and more Gen-eral Contractor around the state which we applaud. At Muth Elec-tric we believe there is no second place when it comes to safety.

Technology Advances in Our Field Forces

At Muth Electric we are making a bold move to technology to improve our efficiency and have even more information at hand to serve you better. This move is one of the biggest changes in our 43 year his-tory and affects all of our employees.

Our goal is to eliminate all of the paperwork flowing between our offices and field operations. On projects we are eliminating all paper plans and specification manu-als. An internet based system is utilized to hold all of the paperwork and all of our plans. These will be accessed using laptops, and on the jobsites we will use tablet computers for the crews to work from. They will always have a complete set of plans to review and to make any necessary markups on for changes.

In addition, all of the information flow from the field in the form of time cards and other paper will now be done electronically. This will allow the information to flow directly into our main software. It will not only speed up the information, but will enable more information to be shared with our field force, further improving their accuracy.

Our goal is to continue to serve our customers in the most efficient methods we can to help each of you attain a project that is cost effective in all aspects. When fully implemented, you will see even more information from Muth Electric.

Muth Committed to Safety
