MUFTI DAY !!!

Mufti day is the only day of the academic year where we are able to wear clothes other than the school uniform. We have to bring 10 AED to be allowed to wear whatever we want, these 10 AED are used for charity and helping the needy. I think it is a good idea as we have a lot of fun and help the poor people. I enjoyed it and look forward for next year’s Mufti day. - Ghalib

CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN

We were chosen for the “cleanliness campaign “ where we leant about the importance of a clean atmosphere to live in and we also went to the

desert to clean it up as a result of our task . It was

really tiring yet fun since we could help the envi-ronment. We enjoyed the experience of being part of this ‘Cleanliness Campaign’.

Reviewing ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of

Azkaban’

The book ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’, by J.K. Rowling is one my favourite of the series. Though having already read the entire series of seven books in all, Rowling’s writing is so gripping one can’t help but read them over and over again. The third book in the series, ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’ reveals a lot about Harry’s past and the untold story of his father when young, including many new characters readers will just admire. The book is indeed exciting, thrilling and will keep you curious and hungry to reach the end.

LINKING ART AND U.A.E

Akash (8B7) , Thenula ( 7B1 ) and me ( Robin - 8B2 ) were called to the Artroom on Sunday , 16th November . We were tasked to paint a glass model of an Arabic coffee pot . The main design of the pot was to be for anything related to the U.A.E , even commemorating the upcom-ing celebration of National day . We finished painting eventually , having being given two days for the project . All three of us gained ex-perience , and hope to combine contributing to the U.A.E. with our art for as log as possible .

COMMON ASSESSMENTS

Phew ! Thank god the common assessments are over . Well if this is what you think then you are wrong..... as we have another set of assessments around the corner (in the end of November) so if you have done bad in this u have another chance. So don't while about but, focus and study hard so you might ace this assessment.

GEMS REVIEW WEEK

The GEMS Review week was from the 17th to the 19th of November . Inspectors from the “GEMS Education” , visited and inspected our classes . Their main focus was on -Teaching and Learning, Leadership and Management, Pastoral Support including Discipline, Support for Learning, Parental Engagement. - Mayank

GOOD NEWS ! GOOD NEWS !

Hamad from our class has joined the Under-16 School football team. They are

participating in the Under-16 Interschool Football Tournament . They have won

two matches and we hope they will continue to win.

SHARJAH INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

Sharjah International Book Fair is a ten day event . It is held annually in Sharjah , United Arab Emirates . When the school told me and another two boys from my class that we were going to the book fair , we became very happy and we were very excited . Their were boys from other classes also .We met a few authors . We also purchase books . I purchased two books , one of them was the latest edition of , “ The diary of a wimpy kid - The long haul “.It was a really good experience for me and it was also a nice feeling to see so many people come from different countries at one place because they are interested . - Jamal

Journée nationale

Abou Dhabi s’anime ce weekend pour la 43ème fête nationale des E.A.U. Au

menu : une flopée d’activités extraordinaires, des feux d’artifices fan-

tastiques, des concerts captivants, des spectacles éblouissants et des at-

tractions traditionnelles. Visiteurs et résidents présents dans l’Émirat du 26

novembre au 3 décembre pourront se joindre à la fête afin de célébrer et de

mettre l'accent sur l’union du pays de ces quatre dernières décennies.
