Falkiew icz, Michael ‘60 (Churchville, PA) - is a consultant to the Chemical Industry, having retired from FMC and ICL Performance Products. Eileen and Michael have six grandchildren and are quite busy enjoying the sporting events and plays, etc. Locastro, Frank ’60 (Oradell, NJ) has been officiating High School and College Basketball games for 38 years. Congratulations, Frank. Moran, Raymond ’60 (Tequesta, FL) – is proud to announce the birth of their third granddaughter, Mirabel Grace. Mirabel w as born on October 4 (2012). She joins her big sisters Maeve, 6 ½ and Mackenzie, soon to be 5. Congratulations to all!!! Shepherd, James ’60 (Scottsdale, AZ) – is currently President of GMRA, General Motors Retirees Asscoation, w w w .gmret.org and Vice President 28 th Infantry Regiment, Black Lions – both are volunteer positions. Congratulations Jim! Bousquet, Robert ’61 (Hamilton Sq.) – is active in the Civil Air Patrol and in attending various Sherlock Holmes Societies. Kepko, Richard ’62 (Aiken, SC) – is proud to announce that in early August, 2013, his oldest daughter gave birth to identical tw in girls, Gabriella and Sophia. Congratulations to all!! Morris, Donald ’62 (Fairlaw n, NJ) – is retired since 2005 after 40 years in Corp. Sales in NYC. Donald has three grow n children, eight grandkids. He served USMC – honorably discharged 1964. Lettieri, Nicholas ’63 (Cranford, NJ) is married to Renee Lettieri for 47 years and has five grandchildren. Nicholas retired in 2010 and has lots of good memories and still having fun! Shannon, Tim ’63 (Boonton, NJ) Tim’s mother, Mary Jane Shannon, is 92 and still lives in Jackson Heights. Tim’s w ife is Joan, his son, Patrick (36) is the Manager at Dell, and his daughter, Katie is at Facebook. Tim and his w ife, Joan have tw o grandkids, Addie (7) and Jack (6) Shannon. Irons, James ’64 (Whitestone, NY) is getting ready to retire, married for 42 years to Nancy. They have three w onderful children – Kelly, Shannon, and Nicholas and four extremely loving and enjoyable grandchildren – Aiden, Jake, Angelina, and Logan. Thank GOD for a w onderf ul lif e. Lucadamo, Stephen ’64 (Staten Island, NY) – is busy w ith six grandchildren and w orking w ith several families affected by Hurricane Sandy. Deely, Daniel ’65 (Morristown, NJ) retired after 41 years in the Insurance Business. Daniel is married 39 years to Kathleen (nee Marshall) – brother is Bill, class of 1963 graduate. Daniel and Kathleen have three grandchildren – tw ins – Ashley Marie and Riley Grace and Grandson Liam Daniel. Congratulations to all! Principe, Thomas ’65 (Glen Head, NY) – finished his term as President of the St. John’s Law school Alumni Assoication and received the Honoral Guy J. Mangano aw ard from the Nassau County Chapter of the St. John’s University School of Law on September 13, 2012 at their Golf Classic. As President of the Veterans of the Seventh Regiment, our guest speaker for Veterans Day w as Cardinal Edw in Ferederick O’Brien. Tom has been a Partner of Krmer, Dillof, Livingston, & Moore in Manhattan, for 25 years. Spector, Matthew ’65 (Peekskill, NY) – opened a State Farm Agency in Peekskill, NY. Good luck, Matthew ! Valentini, John ’65 (Elmont, NY) retired from a major insurance company in 2012 after 40 years of service. Congratulations, John. Basmajian, Andre ’66 (Richmond, VA) – retired from Federal Civil Service after 42 years of public service through the M.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development serving in various capacities from the East Coast to the West Coast. Armellino, Chester ’67 (Tracy, CA) is presently a part time College Instructor and part time retired. Chester is still heavily involved in amateur radio and w ishes he could return to McClancy to restart the Radio Club. Bradley, Eugene ’68 (Mineola, NY) retired January, 2013 af ter w orking 40 years for the Great Neck Park District. Congratulations, Eugene. Greco, Gregory ’68 (Rockville Centre, NY) – and his w ife, Rita, had a 5 th grandchild in 2012. That means 6 of Greg’s 7 children have started their families. Greg’s youngest is in no rush – Thank you, Jane. Congratulations to all, Greg! Greg still follow s the Baseball team has five grandchildren and counting. Grey is 66 years old now and still plays ball!!! Modica, Vincent ’68 (Floral Park, NY) – w as elected “Chief of Department” for the Floral Park Volunteer Fire Department in April, 2012. Congratulations, Vincent. McMonagle, James ’69 (Monroe, NY) – is retired from NYPD and Army Reserve. James now is w orking part time as a pharmacist in Orange County, New York. Congratulations on retirement, James! Blake, Vice Admiral John Terrence (’71) – retired from the US Nave on February 1, 2013. He is currently one of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, essentially the CFO of the Navy. Good luck on your retirement! Winters, Rev. Sean ’72 (Carteret, NJ) – continues to serve as a Catholic priest here in the Metuchen Diocese in Central New Jersey. Rev. Sean is the Director of Prison Ministry and serves in the 7 prisons here in the Diocese. Kosina, Robert ’79 (Port Washington, NY) – just started a new job. Rob is Vice President of Marketing for New York Deferred Exchange Corporation, w hich facilitates IRC Section 1031 transactions as a Qualified Intermediary. Congratulation, Rob! Minor, James ’79 (Fairfax, VA) – is currently a supervisor in the Office of Protective Intelligence Investigation, Threat Investigations, and Analysis Directorate. James w orks on threats and counter terrorism investigations domestically and overseas. Scardigno, Luke ’79 (Port Washington, NY) – is offering Legal Services. Miglietta, John ’80 (Nashville, TN) w as the Green Party candidate for U.S. House of Representatives Tenth District. John received over 5,200 votes w hich w as about 29%. Greetings to the McClancy committee from Music City, USA. McMahon, Michael ’83 (Monroe, NY) – is a retired NYPD Lieutenant Commander after 26 years. Michael is married w ith tw o children. Bermudez, Rodney ’84 (Estell Manor, NJ) – has been w orking in the biomedical research field for 21 years now . Rodney’s house is full of animals – 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a parrot. Rodney and his w ife and tw o kids continually w ant to bring more into their house. God Bless Class of 1984. O’Sullivan, Jam es ’84 (Rockaw ay Park, NY) – survived Hurricane Sandy. Lupo, Salvatore ’86 (Woodside, NY) Thank you for a great education. Great to see some of my great teachers still teaching at McClancy today. McMahon, Brian ’86 (New Hyde Park, NY) – is a Deputy Inspector NYPD Narcotic Divison. Schneider, Craig ’92 (Australia) currently lives in Australia. Craig is attending law school yes I am 40 never too old to better yourself. Craig is studying to be a human rights law yer and international law . He has been fighting to end hunger and homelessness. No one ever deserves to go hungry and homeless. God Bless the good people keeping peace alive. Good luck, Craig in all you’re doing!! Spector, Matthew 95 (Lynbrook, NY) – opened a State Farm Agency in Peekskill, NY on January 1, 2013. Good luck, Matthew ! Fraraccio, Anthony 2000 (Whitestone, NY) – w ill never forget all the w onderf ul, caring dedicated teachers and staff. We thank God for all the blessing that a McClancy education brought. Olszewski, Anthony 2001 (Brooklyn, NY) – and his w ife Tina are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, Juliana Rose on June 6, 2012. Juliana w eighted 7 lbs/7.6 ounces and w as 20.5 inches long. Riley, KS in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from May 2012 until February 2013. This coincides with the unification on July 1, 2014, of the three United States provinces of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart into one entity called the Province of the United States. Pictured above are the members present for the first meeting of the 2014 – 2015 school year as well as support staff who were present at the beginning of the meeting to provide various reports. THE JIM MICHELINI WALKATHON The Annual Jim Michelini Walkathon was another success with the 600+ student body and faculty walking a two-mile course on a brisk fall morning. All the proceeds generated from the event go back to the school through the Office of Advancement. And this year the fund raiser will be used to install a new floor for the gymnasium and stage area. As in previous years, the local NYPD 115th Precinct provided full cooperation and assistance along the route. It was a great day with a fine school spirit. OPEN HOUSE 2014 Over 500 families attended McClancy’s 2014 Open House on Saturday, October 11, 2014. The rain had stopped just before starting time, but the inclement weather didn’t detract from the large turnout. What makes McClancy’s Open House special is the high number of students who volunteer to assist faculty members as tour guides (called Student Ambassadors), represent their activity or sport at a table, and otherwise help out with all the logistics. There was a high level enthusiasm on the part of the faculty, staff, and students, which always makes a favorable impression. Visitors could also sign up their son or daughter to be a Crusader for a Day by which they spend a day at the school with a McClancy student and follow his or her schedule. Thomas Principe, McClancy Board Member and Class of 1965, attended and spoke to groups as they passed through the Media Center. The tour showcased the new Media Center, Art Room, and Science Labs. And visitors could pose for a picture with the Crusader Mascot!
