A Year in chives 2017 Archives evoke memory and improve wellbeing The M&S Company Archive set up reminiscence therapy sessions to help improve wellbeing and mental abilities associated with memory, using ‘memory boxes’ containing original clothing, accessories and documents from the handling collection. This year the archive celebrated 50 years of curating high quality research data, through taking a tour of the archive’s work with a series of short articles entitled ‘A decade in 50 words’. This extraordinary digital project – that highlights, shares and celebrates the history of Bluecoat on the occasion of its 300th anniversary in 2017 – brings to life the history of a building that has a long, symbiotic relationship with Liverpool and its people. This collection is stored in 800 boxes dating from the 13th century to the present.
