In situ deposition of TiO2 particles by electrospraying
Using TTIP in alcohol as a precursor
A presentation by Rameshwar Kunkana & Sunil Kumar

ReagentsTTIP – Titanium tetra isopropoxide. Chemical Formula - Ti{OCH(CH3)2}4.Structural Formula :
3
Reactions Involved.
TTIP reacts with water to deposit Titanium Dioxide.1) TTIP (in alcohol) + H2O(atm) Ti(OH)4
2) Ti(OH)4 + Ti(OH)4 TiO2
The solution quickly solidify with contact air so its compulsory to work with lower concentration.

Experimental Points• In reaction (during electrospraying) H2O comes from atmospheric
moisture.• When relative humidity is less in atmosphere then hot water bath was
kept inside the setup for some time.• Curing of sample was done to evaporate moisture from surface of
deposited particles.• Curing Parameters…..
Temperature : 110 , Air Temperature : 115 Time : 5 minutes with normal mode.

1) Distance between Area of deposited needle and collector particles
2) collector voltage Area of deposited particles
3) Moisture Particle size
