Good hygiene is the best way to avoid infection with MRSA. This type of infection sometimes first appears on the skin as a red, swollen pimple or boil that may be painful or have pus. It can be spread by close, skin-to-skin contact or by touching surfaces contaminated with the bacteria.

Keep your hands clean by washing thoroughly with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand cleaner

Keep cuts and scrapes clean and covered with a bandage until healed Avoid contact with other people’s wounds or bandages Avoid sharing personal items such as towels or razors

Colin Robert Law 06/07/1970 - 05/07/2003

Dearest Colin,What you suffered you told but few

You didn’t deserve what you went throughThey never said you had M.R.S.A

Wish we knew then what we know todayTired and weary ... You made no fuss,

You tried so hard to stay with usBut God saw that the road was getting tough -

The hills too steep to climb .....He put his arms around you and whispered ...

Colin - Peace be Thine(You are only ever a whisper away Colin –

Love you for always )From your heartbroken family

and your little dog Ladyx x x x x

Colin admitted to hospital for routine tests

In memory of Sammie

Jade is organising a fun-run to raise funds for MRSA Action UK, this is a fitting tribute to a lovely girl and a lovely way to remember Sammie.

The event will be held at Trentham Gardens, Newcastle-under-Lyme later this year
