The formal ceremony to pay respect to teachersand elders, featured student representatives present-ing floral decorations which the various student clubsand service organizations created artistically and whichalso were judged and awarded prizes in a contest oftraditional Thai floral arrangement.

Responding to the greetings and wishes expressedby the students, the President reminded them of theirroles as students to obey their teachers and to workhard in emulation ofHis Majesty the King. The Presi-dent Emeritus as well offered blessings for the stu-dents on behalfofthe faculty.

The observance of Wai Kru was marked by Aca-demic Merit Awards being handed out to academicallysuperior performances among the students. TheDummy Company Management presented a report ondie annual sales performance for the academic year2010-2011 and awarded high performing sales per-sonnel for the summer sales 2011 operations.

The occasion brought about closer bonding be-tween the faculty, staff and students thereby settingthe stage for the rest ofthe year for meaningful aca-demic and student activities.

Dr. AmnuayYoonprayong led thirty five Assumption University Faculty and Staft on apilgrimage to Rome, Italy and to the birthplace at Nantes, France of St.Louis Marie dc Montfort, the founding Saint of the Montfortian BrothersofGabriel. The pilgrimage also incorporating a visit to the holy shrine ofLourdes, included a brief sojourn to the Alps re-gion ofSwitzerland and was organized betweenMay 1 and 14,2011. The overarching objectiveof the pilgrimage was to further entrench theMontfortian spirit in the Faculty and Stal l so thatcould more fully understanding the raison d
