Hedgehogs Hedgehogs are 20-30 cm long and

weigh 700-800 grams. They hide under a pile of twigs and foliage of shrubs in the afternoon. They go out at night to feed. They feed on small rodents and kill venomous snakes. Hedgehogs can sometimes walk up to 3 kilometers. Hedgehogs roll up into a ball, pressed their heads to her stomach and draw legs and their tails.

Hedgehogs live in a place with a layer of leaves and twigs. Hedgehogs is not enough places where they can live. Many hedgehogs die under the wheels of сars.

Semi-water animal of group of rodents. The word "beaver" is inherited from European language. First beavers appeared in Asia. Its growth reaches 2,75 m and weighs 350 kg. Beavers live alone or in families. The full family consists of 5 - 8 individuals.

ElkAn elk is an animal that gives birth to their babies and feed them milk. It is the largest species of the class of cervidae. Elks live in the forest area. They feed grass. In the summer they eat leaves. Elks are fast runners and good swimmers. They are commercial animals (meat and skin). Elks attack people very seldom. People hunt them because of tasty meat.

Elks often die. Wolves and bears hunt young elks. Elks are often killed by cars on the roads.

Bear Bear is a forest mammal. It is one of the largest and most dangerous predators.Its body is strong. It has a large head with small eyes and ears, it has strong claws, a short tail and dense fur. A bear lives in a den, every winter becomes dormant. The brown bear is included in the Red Book . It is under the protection of the State'

The size of adult salamandrella reaches 12-13 cm. This animal eats worms, mollusks, insects. It has a big head and a long tail. It has grey or brown colouring. This animal is becoming extinct and has been protected because of the water pollution. This animal is in danger because people harm them.

The problem! To develop industry people build many factories and plants. Litter and chemicals from factories are getting into rivers, pounds, lakes, seas and oceans. When this happens crucians and other fishes no longer survive.
